Bachelorettes on the Prowl!

$
0
0

Well, you really wanted to know, right?

Made this one for Deb last week, and its based on sworn secret testimony from actual women that have been to actual bachelorette parties. Not quite as crude as the male version, though I've seen quite a few get really rowdy. Drunk girls in groups on the prowl can really dish it out. I have actually gotten the "can I have your underwear?" question once, and two of the girls chortled when I mentioned I don't wear any. Something about one of their friends settling down kicks the hormones in big time!

I think you can tell that it was a lot of fun to write. Pushing a former male into acts of femininity for which he has no real reference point is always a trope I like to dabble in .. and adding wine and chocolate to keep his male resistance down and his female libido up just makes it much more delicious. So many new things to process for Mike and he really doesn't stand a chance. They are going to give him an experience to never forget, and possibly never escape from!

What a great summer its been so far! That hurricane wrecked the actual 4th of July, but the weekend following it was absolutely wonderful, with moderate temperatures, no humidity and a steady breeze to make sleeping at night really comfortable. My daughter took me out to dinner for Father's Day (yeah, she had to work 11-11 on the actual day) and we watched fireworks right from our apartment driveway. On Sunday, the family celebrate the 4th with a cookout, and I had grilled stuffed mushrooms and later on, Soy based hot dogs so I didn't feel left out from all the carnivores. Now back to work and mostly everyone is on vacation so there is a nice mellow vibe there, even as those like me who are around picking up the slack.

Take a look at the last posting if you wish to work on the DIY Challenge. I forgot to update the "Latest DIY" section like I said I would, so perhaps by the time you read this, it'll be up there as well. Tomorrow I should start capping again after a few days off. See you again soon!

Happy Birthday .. Ya Bastard!

Ask, and ye shall receive .. in Spades! But hopefully not David Spades! ARRGGHHHH!!

Made this one for Wannabestuck for her birthday. She announced it ahead of time in her folder, since the Haven no longer lets you know when people's birthday's are, except for a piece of cake on your posts for the day. Since she made a post, I figured I'd have fun and make the caption somewhat meta. Even better, I chose one of the pictures she had in her trading folder so I knew she'd like it.

Here's some of what I wrote in the post:
Happy Birthday! If Samantha Stevens' sister Serena was the ad executive at McMahon and Tate, I think this caption definitely would be one of the untold stories of Bewitched!
a few replies later, Ridney mentioned something, and I had to reply to that too!
Quote from: ridney on Today at 01:27:58 AM
Knowing Dee, you have to stay tied up and still type a good 50 words a minute.
If you can type 50 WPM with your tongue .. You'll always have a position in my organization!
Anyway, we really shouldn't over think this caption. Its just a bit of fun, like I had much of going to see Sharknado in the theater with Rifftrax making fun of it the whole time. They did a wonderful job, and will be riffing Godzilla 1998 in August, and Anaconda in October!

There's still a few days before the DIY challenge ends on Sunday. Hope you'll take a crack at it! See you in a day or two .. or three!

The Frat Wash .. Cleaning the Deck!

What else are you going to do when you need to raise money for the frat?

Make this quickie for Wannabestuck a few weeks ago. Pretty much a "what you see is what you get" caption, with only the slightest bit of mis-direction, and one that you see coming a mile away when you know that I'm the one that wrote it. I don't think it hurts the enjoyment too much though. Like AC/DC, I am just giving the people exactly what they want. That *IS* what you want, right? Let me know!

What a perfect weekend so far.The only thing that could make it more perfect would be a yard of my own to hang out in and have a campfire tonight, and perhaps the ability to eat meat and drink beer beside that campfire. Since we are wishing, why not have all my blog visitors hanging around, exactly the way they wish to look and act and I'll have a couple of guitars and whatnot and we can all sing 1980's tunes! That WOULD be perfect, don't you think?

No matter what you are doing tonight, what troubles or extreme joy you are feeling .. just stop and think for a moment about life and what a wonderful gift we have: to do more than just take up space, and the impact that our existence has on others, and that give and take which is so vital to our well-being. I'm not even talking about the big picture, but just the simple interactions between 2 people, or 'man' and nature. It is truly amazing to be alive: the highs and lows, hills and valleys, and all the stuff in between. Its that 'stuff' that binds us all and makes the here and now so compelling. I hope when I'm old and gray, that I never forget all that miscellanea and trivial state of being that goes along with my biggest failures and greatest achievements ... Grabbing an ice cream cone with a loved one, a road trip that got you hopelessly lost, or the tired child being carried by his daddy on the beach who looks at you, smiles, and then closes his eyes to sleep. Embrace the mundane and celebrate it! Like oxygen, its all around you and I'm addicted to it!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Monkees, and its really interesting in how I viewed this song as a pre-teen during the 2nd Monkee-mania and how I see it now. I usually follow it up with another song on mixed CD's, so why not put it up here too?!?

Fancy this, you fancy pants blog readers!

Made this one the other night, and its nothing more than finding the right photo to go with the song lyrics from an old Reba McEntire song. Deleted some verses and only replaced 2 words: from "kid" to "boy" and "trash" to "boy". I remembered hearing the song back when I used to do lots of karaoke.

We are getting close to the deadline for the DIY Challenge, and so far we have 2 submissions and one that I whipped up while placing Ian's words into the caption setting. We've got plenty of room left, so write something! I am going to set the deadline to be a little after I get home from work on Monday, so that should give everyone a little bit of extra time.

Though comments have gone down a bit recently, we just hit 3,000 comments here on the blog and the person that made it was ... me answering someone's comment. Leeanne and Helena were the 2,999 and 3,001 comments made, so at some point in the near future, I hope to whip up a caption starring them. Hopefully it won't be too long until I am doing something special for those who have made comments #3500 and #4000!

And if you want to know how the story turned out, just listen to the song!

Less rock, more talk! Well, actually, not much of either. I want to post all the submissions and this time, let the commenters and blog visitors do the talking! What do you think of the different approaches done by each of the captioneers? Which one was the most up your alley? What about the picture appealed to you and made you want to caption it?

First up was me, then Helena:

Ian is back with another submission!

And early this morning, I got one posted to my folder on Rachel's Haven, taking advantage of my deadline extension .. Its Kaitlyn!

We've got four captions for people to read, gawk at, and absorb into our psyche! That should be enough to gab about down below. We should be running the DIY probably around the end of the week. I'll be looking around for some hopefully interesting pictures to use, so stay tuned!

Quoth the Potter ...

.. Dumbledore!

I honestly know VERY little about Harry Potter and the world he inhabits, which is why I had fun making this caption. Its also based on an assumption I hope is true, that the model *IS* Emma Watson, or a very close likeness of her. Otherwise it sort of falls flat, especially since it was made for someone with the screenname of Celebswap. Like I said, I've managed to avoid the entire franchise, other than that my GF is incredibly into it. She owns all the movies on Bluray, which still doesn't stop her from watching it on the weekends on whatever cable station always seems to be playing them in order.

She's been trying to get them in digital format for quite some time now. Its not that she doesn't want to pay, but apparently you can only get them at Rowling's website, and they only take credit cards that are international. Since we use debit cards, we can't seem to purchase it. Its all a rather, "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!" proposition where I guess she figures she's rich enough that she doesn't have to deal with Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Google Books? So I went searching the other day, and kept asking, "how many books are there?" and she kept saying, "Seven plus a few that aren't technically 'books' but are part of the canon." and I kept repeating, ":but weren't there like EIGHT movies?" and if you actually follow Potter, you already know the answer! When I saw this picture, this discussion immediately came to mind and I just HAD to write it out in Photoshop.

Any information about Harry Potter that I know, is mostly due to osmosis and/or the buying of gifts for the GF, like the knee socks of her favorite divisions of schools. They are different schools right? Then why are they all eating together? Something tells me I'd need to learn about the structure of British education and frankly, I don't feel like poking Joanna right now!

I do know that at one point, and possibly even now, many fundamentalist Christians are all, "Harry Potter is teaching children about sorcery and is a pathway to Satan!" I figured I would work that in too since I'm all about demonology,  evil, and all that cool stuff you learned on street corners. So, four paragraphs in on a caption that literally took me 5 minutes to write and I've been much more verbose than I thought I would.

Thought I was going to post up "Abracadabra" by Steve Miller, didn't you? This is a much better 1980's song about magic. Hope you enjoy the caption, Potterheads!

I couldn't pass up posting this song either. Its from Weird Al's new CD, and it goes out to all my captioning friends .. maybe we call all learn something from the song!

Time to clean out the closet and get a new wardrobe!

Made this for Leeanne, as a reward for being a comment away from my 3,000th. Had this picture saved for a bit on my hard drive and I think it works well for what I had in mind. I probably condensed the story a bit too much to make sure it fit within the confines I had given it, especially once it hit the shower scene, but I think everyone here is capable of coloring in between the lines. Why don't you go down to the comments and tell me what parts of the story I left out? In addition, how do you think the boss responded to Leeanne's appearance back at the old firm?

Apparently I hadn't posted this one a few weeks ago!

Made (and posted) this one to Lady Harmony a few weeks ago, and then promptly forgot to post it here! I need to actually go through all my captions and figure out which one I've actually posted here before so that I won't post repeats AND avoid skipping over captions I thought I posted! Its hard when you have such a large backlog but mostly want to feature newer works.

This caption is sort of meta in style, in that they've figured out they are in a horror movie construct. I came up with the idea when I saw the picture and I spent about 5 minutes trying to find something creepier with prom type girls in it, and then gave up. I figured, its not really that necessary to the plot since this photo was about 85 percent of what I wanted anyway. Besides, then I can let the text catch readers off guard a bit. 3 sentences in and they are running away from an insane guy that turned them into women and they tried to kill them? Why would they possibly be standing there chatting casually?

Hopefully Daphne and I decided to take off our heels. I mean, how the hell do you escape a psychopath in heels? We could always go shoe shopping once we are safe and sound!

The Wallflower .. and a new DIY challenge!

Who sent her a faulty, fairy godmother?

Made this one as a quickie about a week ago, and figured I'd use it to introduce the DIY Challenge for the week as it wasn't made for anyone in particular. Mostly an exercise in color saturations and blending, and I guess the answer for will it blend is .. yes! Though I can see why most people do not try to work with too many versions of yellow and tan. It does bring out her black tights pretty nicely though, right Hailey?

Anyway, on to the DIY Challenge. Once again, I'll supply the caption setting and/or the actual picture if you'd like to produce a complete caption. Submissions should either be sent to me, probably through the haven if you belong there and have a complete caption, or post your story into the "LATEST DIY" section which you can get to by clicking that button at the middle of the links underneath the banner.

Make them about anything and starring anyone, but I'd be very happy if they all starred someone named "Caitlyn" and/or "Calvin" since I still miss her dearly. Don't care if she doesn't feel like Caitlyn anymore, since I wouldn't mind reading about some of her further adventures that we didn't know about beforehand or perhaps someone else became infected with "Caitlyn" from reading their TG blog?

The deadline for the DIY Challenge is Thursday, July 31st at Midnight Pacific Standard Time. That gives everyone a few extra days to make these captions extra special.

It's the Little Things That Count!

Because in the end, it IS the little things that matter the most.

Made this one a few days ago for Jezebel. I cannot stress how much I like this chick! She has so much energy and took the Haven by storm and gave it some much needed pizazz. She reminds me of the smattering of many of my former besties from the Haven that have moved on and if I am the slightest bit jaded about something, I can just look at her work and a smile will slowly crawl across my face like I'm some TG Grinch that makes my heart 3 sizes bigger again!

The picture just screamed Jinny, and I knew I had to use it. The look is somewhat Emo so I figured, why not embrace that? Right away I wanted to focus on the earrings and the shirt, so to tie everything together like Lebowski's rug, I created a background that hopefully drove it home before you even realized it was relevant to the overall caption.

Puberty / growing up in your teen years is hard enough to go through, as its a battle to define exactly what you are and what your place is in the world. Now, throw in a gender change, whether accidentally or by choice, and now you are navigating choppy waters. Just when you think you've got it down, you are competing against a new body, hormones, societal norms, and self-image.

I tried to convey that as simply as I could in a caption that was emphasizing just a mundane (for most people) event we've gone through so many times, finding new clothes, albeit for first day of school, new job, etc ... Its why I love to make my stories a "moment in time" snapshot, because I think the themes are universal and ground the necessary "suspension of disbelief" the reader has to make to accept what is going on.

For this caption, its just about being comfortable in your own skin and how a person close to you can always seem to sense what's wrong and figure out a way to make it right. Jinny's mom takes something he loved from his past and re-purposes it into an acceptable new item more fitting to what she's become. Then its celebrating the closeness between them as they discover the path for Jinny that's awaiting her .. that she doesn't have to be a completely new person just because the body has changed.

No nudity or big titties, no embarrassment, no compulsions built upon layers of hypnosis, no wonderfully crafted bits of witty dialog, etc ... but its still one of my favorite captions I've made of the last few months. Its genuinely sweet and uplifting in a way that I often am not. My personal nectar is often laced with vinegar, but its always laden with the best intentions. Just stick with me and you'll get all the flavors when you least expect them so you'll never be thirsty!

DISCUSSION QUESTION: Did the caption live up to what I tried to do within it? What did you like about it and what fell short? Did it strike a chord inside you or where you more just sort of "meh" about it all?

See that girl, watch that scene, digging the dancing queen!

Made this one for Kamil back in May of 2011 and I don't think I've posted it here before. She likes captions where she is in her teens, so I tend to go quite innocent with her return captions. Also, since she is from Poland, English is not her native tongue, so I don't usually do much with turns of phrases or pop culture, unless its on a grand scale where everyone in the world knows the person.

Rather than get all upset about any of those limitations, I tend to look at it as more of a challenge. Simplicity is the name of the game, and you hope you can tap into universal thoughts that transcend cultures. Each one has its own rules in regards to what is and what isn't proper behavior for each gender.

I actually knew someone that didn't receive their high school diploma at graduation due to needing gym class credits. Back then, you needed 4 years of gym to graduate and I guess they skipped too many classes. They were allowed to process with the rest of the graduation, but had to attend summer school for gym to actually receive their diploma. Our school also gave you a choice of 2-3 things each semester to chose from in attending gym class, and god forbid you weren't there the day you got to choose! I know people that had pneumonia that made it through half the day .. just enough to pick the right sport, lest you be stuck with aerobics and yoga!

Those two things came to me when I was thinking about a return captions for Kamil, and I knew the theme was pretty consistent regardless of culture. Most schools are trying to make sure their kids aren't turned into couch potatoes and got regular bouts of exercise. Ballet costumes, with tights, leotards, satin and taffeta, etc .. are also fairly universal in appeal to TG fans, so I knew I was going to be able to use them to my advantage. Once I had that, it was fairly straightforward with no major twists, except for the overseas scholarship, which was another preference of Kamil .. she likes Japanese culture.

This is about as standard a caption I could've made, and still make it one that came from Dee. I am glad that she like it and we were able to connect.
Thank you for very adorable cap,Japan is well known for hard work, but im sure Sarah will be fine [nod]
DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do you adapt when making captions for people from other cultures and/or countries? Do you expect them to know what you are referring to, or do you make allowances for what might be uncommon for them?

Don't care what anyone else says. This is one of the greatest pop songs of all time. Almost perfect!

She went from a 7 inch to something totally different!

Made this one for Satcheron a few weeks ago. She wanted to change into an Asian girl and I certainly was able to oblige her wishes! Figured I would put in some truth about record labels and the lengths they go to keep artists under their thumb. I am pretty damn sure that if they WERE able to do this, they certainly would do it and without a second thought! Its nice to see recording artists strike out on their own when they can, but it doesn't really help the bands that are just starting out.

I've been trying to find another car among things so it hasn't been the nice slice of easy living that I thought summer would be once I got work straightened out. Life never really does let you ever get ahead, does it?

Depending on how my transportation works out, I hopefully will have a post up again soon.

Auntie Is Trying to Teach You a Lesson!

.. though I'm not quite sure Mom would approve!

Made this one for a relative newbie to the Haven, Vypress. She seemed to like the "Auntie" styled captions that are somewhat famous, and gave me one, so I figured I'd return the favor. She is a big fan of Rocky Horror too, so I might have to work something out with that in the future. I always try to stay in a normal vein for the first caption I make for someone, then break out on further returns.

When looking through her profile after I made the posting, I noticed that she's 20 years old or so. I am not even sure she's actually held an actual porno magazine since most smut has been viewed digitally for the last 10 years or so. Hell, I remember getting a CD Rom filled with porn back in 1995! I had 7th Guest, Battle Chess, and a few porno CD's! The youth of today might never have to deal with sticky pages ever again!

As someone that lived in Massachusetts in the 1980's, we were required to own both "Aerosmith's Greatest Hits" and "Freeze Frame" by the J. Geils band. At some point, you had to also have a Mighty Mighty Bosstones cassette, but that was the 1990's. Now, you are required to have at least one Dropkick Murphy's song on your mp3 player! Very liberal state, but there ARE rules that have to be followed or you'll be sent to Rhode Island or Connecticut!

BTW, Tonight is the deadline (August 31) for the DIY Caption Challenge! Get your submissions in soon! I've already started writing out the post and should be putting it up over the weekend!

... One is MORE than enough, don't you think?

Made this one for Jezebel, and I think she is definitely on my short list for people who receive captions that are slightly odd-ball, bizarre, or downright head-scratching. There are a few others on that list, like Kaitlyn, but I'm not sure if she would like the pictures in the caption so explicit, which honestly I cannot tone down on this one, due to the actual content which with the story matches the source photo.

Yes, as soon as I saw this picture, the punch line came to me. It took me a few minutes to come up with the actual movie dialog I wanted to use. This was my second choice, and it seemed much more universal and newer to me, as even teens have a good idea who Dirty Harry is, plus the whole idea of where Dirty Harry's speech is coming from .. perhaps its now Dirty Hairy?!? LOL Anywho, my first choice was something from Casablanca, since its considered one of the best movies of all time. "Here's looking at you kid!" will never be the same for any of you reader now, will it?

As a side DIY, and a reminder that there is only a few hours left to the current DIY .. why don't you all come up with a famous movie quote that should go in the place of the Dirty Harry diatribe? Just make sure its not TOO long. Kurt Russell's pre-game speech from Miracle SEEMS like a great fit, but its much too long! Much better off with, "Do you believe in miracles? YES!" as done by Al Michaels.

Let me know what you think of this caption? Also, write your film dialog below. Perhaps I'll whip up a few of the best ones to go along with the DIY Challenge results!

Lets hop right into it!

First caption is from Dawn (Commentator) who submitted this one to me via Rachel's Haven where she contributes 99 percent of her captions and does a great job of welcoming newbies.

Next up is Brittany7, from the Haven. Not too familiar with her, but its always fun to have new people submit entries to the DIY Challenge. I hope she enjoys what she wrote for the caption setting and decided to do more. It was definitely a good start!

At the last moment, we have this caption from Helena, who wanted to honor Caitlyn as best she could, so she held out sending it to me until the last moment. I'm sure she'd like it lots Helena!

Lastly, we have Ian's submission. I am posting it twice, as when i first plugged in his story, it stopped at a certain location which I thought ended the caption well. However, I did notice that there was a whole extra paragraph at the end. So this first one is the way I thought it should end ...

And here is the way that Ian originally wrote it. Please let us know which one you like better? It'd make a good topic for comments on how editing can make a caption better or worse!

Thanks to everyone that submitted something to this DIY Challenge. Another one will be coming soon!

Oh yeah, I ended up making one a few minutes ago, while listening to Savatage, which is one of my favorite metal bands of all time. So symphonic that essential they turned into Trans Siberian Orchestra. I used some of the words to one of their best songs, "When the Crowds Are Gone" as I feel it can be indicative of what we do here as creators and readers of TG fiction, and how its a part of our lives. Are our lives a part of the act, or the act a part of our lives?

If you are interested in more from them, search out songs like "Gutter Ballet" , "Believe" , "Edge of Thorns" , "Hall of the Mountain King" . "Somewhere in Time" . "Follow Me" , "This is the Time" and so many more!

So Much More Mellow Now!

Coffee is much too aggressive a drink!

Made this one for fellow admin on Rachel's Haven, Jeannie. She had fairly broad preferences, so it isn't too bard to whip up a caption that she'll appreciate. Its been so hectic lately, that I appreciate any time I get to kick back and relax, so the caption came from that need to just chill out and breathe. I really miss a good cup of tea and I am thinking about spoiling myself soon!

Jeannie talked about tea in her reply:
There's something about tea that makes it a great catalyst for magical changes. Maybe its the distant origins, maybe the fact that it comes from plants after drying and curing special leaves and then brewed. Just the smell of it makes me think things could happen.
Its the little things that matter, and that is why I used the name of the cafe right in the caption, well, I added Haven to it because, duh! The Haven is a wonderful place to relax and kick off your heels. Plus, I haven't truly mentioned exactly what happened, so Jeanne could just be cross-dressing, totally transformed into a fully functioning female, or somewhere in between. Is magic at play, or perhaps a natural remedy for bland maleness within the herbal blend? Something else entirely? Is the tea addictive or taken totally of her free will? I love it when I can make a caption universal!

I am not really sure what to make out of the DIY Challenges. We ended up with quite a few entries, and I am glad that people enter, but then I look at the stats, and the views and comments on them are minimal to say the least. This latest one is probably the lowest viewed post in a few years, with only about 500 views and approaching 40 hours. To compare the last post without a comment, "Auntie Is Trying to Teach You a Lesson" while gathering no comments, reached 1k views in 17 hours.

As I've mentioned in the past, I'm not specifically complaining about lack of comments or views as much as I am curious as to why some things skew one way, and other things go a different way. I guess I truly am a stats geek, and I love to over analyze. Is it the "burner" caption I posted at the top that didn't draw people in, or is Saturday night at 10 PM a rotten time to schedule a new post? Unlike some other nights, it didn't seem to be buried in others blog lists, so I can't say it was repopulated out of people's views too quickly for notice. I'm probably leaning towards the first two thoughts right now, but will take other opinions. I am not getting rid of DIY Challenges because I love the interaction too much, but I have to figure out how to maximize their exposure so that everyone will see them.

Most "tea" songs I like are pretty depressing, so I had to go with this one. If you don't like Nirvana, you can have a spot of Sting (and the Police)!

Raise Your Hand .. If You're Sure!

Yeah, the title is from an old 80's commercial. No big whoop!

Made this one for Helena as a gift for being one of the people that made the 3k comment here on my blog. I appreciate every single one that is posted, except for all the ones for ball bearings or gink0 b!l0b@ as its spelled in the spam folder! The entire point of the blog was to create a dialog between caption creators and those who view them, and I think its done exactly that.

The story came in to place as soon as I saw the picture so I immediately threw it into a caption setting and let it stew for a few minutes. I kept coming back to her arms, and to me, it looked like she was trying to keep one of her arms from raising up, like in a hypnotists trick where they make the subjects arm to rise, even when they are trying to fight it. Make the hypnotist into an all around magician, and presto chango .. we have got ourselves a caption! To finish it off, we don't know if a compulsion trigger was implanted to include a female persona or was it more of a subconscious thing deep inside that made him want to stay a girl. That ambiguity is probably the main reason why I like this caption. Hopefully Helena will like it too!

I will be around here and there over the next few weeks, as I have a long distance relative visiting for the next 10 or so days, and one of my close friends has had a medical issue which has needed attention, so I have been shuttling them in and around Boston, which makes me a bit grumpy to say the least. Then again, at least I'm not the one who is sick for once! I will either be posting captions from awhile back that never made it up here for some reason, or captions that I made fresh before posting them here on the blog, since I don't have that many new ones in the hopper as a backlog. Perhaps another DIY is in the offering as well.

Maybe a few refresher courses will help!

Made this one back in February of 2012 for Steffimarie. I have been combing through the d'archives to make sure I haven't missed too many captions made for the Haven that haven't been posted here. I can say that pretty much everything I've made since March of 2012 has been posted here. Perhaps one might have fallen through the cracks, but every completed caption has since then has been seen either here or on Rachel's Haven. At some point, I'll tackle the beginning of 2012 and go back through 2011. For all I know, I may have even posted this one, but a quick search seems to imply that I haven't yet.

I don't think I really need to explain this caption too closely as its about as straightforward and direct as I can make them! I had found a cache of red headed teenage girls and whipped up a few for Steffimarie all around the same time. I think she was better off going back to freshman year anyway, since I really don't think Ron was quite ready for Simone's Academy yet.

* or Dee just found a cute picture of a girl eating waffles. The Smoking Man wasn't sure but knew it was one of those choices.
I only found out the Smucker's account through searching on Google, which does make a whole lot of sense, but you'd think the demand would be large enough that they'd want to continue fulfilling what was a large marketplace for a product. I can only imagine it was too costly for them.

Anyway, I enjoyed the photo, and "Waffles? That's It? Waffles?" came into my head when I saw it. From there, it was just my conspiratorial nature that tied the TG element into the picture ... that the now missing boysenberry syrup must've been the cause of the gender swap. Hell, its got BOY right in the title of the foodstuff, and could relate to the "sugar and spice, and everything nice" part of the girl's rhyme. Never mind that Boysenberries can be quite tart to the taste buds which feeds into the caption as well.

Gotta love Parry Gripp. He was/is the lead singer of Nerf Herder, and now makes funny, and uplifting songs on You Tube. Check them out!

And here's one from his actual band, Nerf Herder.

Sometimes things are not as they seem!

A caption I made for Churchy a few days ago. A newbie to the Haven, but apparently has been around the scene a bit and perhaps wrote a few stories? I am trying to remember the profile without hitting the Haven so I might be a bit off. Anyway, I wanted to make a quickie caption that was straightforward yet still has a bit of a twist to it, and I guess I succeeded overall, but looking at it a few days later, its a  bit flat for me. Not sure why, but I am not as fond of it now. Perhaps its just my mood, but just slightly meh at this point.

Oh well. I can't love all the captions I've made.

I think this is going to have to be a quick post because I've been pretty damn busy and I don't see it letting up for another week or so. Then I should be able to catch up again here, and I might also caption on Saturday if things play out the way I think they will, goddess willing!

Let me know what YOU think of the caption! Meh, OK, or you really liked it!
