What the hell does the title even mean? Come inside and find out!
So, was one of the weekends I spent away during the last 7 weeks of Dee madness have something to do with nuptials on my part? No, but it makes a good story line for a caption, doesn't it?
I had been waiting for a special picture to use for Lacy, and nothing had been coming down the pike for quite some time, until I finally found this one. It actually had a model wearing a slip, and since her avatar name on the Haven is actually Lacysliplover .. I wanted to use a photo that had something she really loved in it.
Then it was just massaging the story behind the picture. I had the cake topper in mind from the beginning, but it wasn't until I put the photo into a caption setting that things fell into place. Even doing that was a bit different as I didn't use my usual template, and had to photoshop colors into the background and up above the photo, something that gave me more room to write what needed to be said to get the idea across.
Then I wanted the caption to be as mono-chromatic as possible, with mostly whites, blacks and some tans with the legs. I couldn't use shadows or things to highlight the text, so I went with a font I used a year or two ago, but for some reason it fell out of favor with me after about a month of use.
The design is what I wanted it to be, and I knew it'd have to be a meta-caption, with real life melded into a fantasy that is just slightly a bit beyond our current technology. Probably even doable right now if Lacy and I were the more presentable within the feminine realm of appearance.
And that is why I think it does work as a meta-caption. It's realistic but still provides us a wish fulfillment and a dream come true. I'm glad I spent the extra time to hunt for a photo that made sense for Lacy and what she wants out of a trade caption. Why rush when you can take your time when you aren't in a deadline of any sort?
So what did Lacy have to say about it?
I loved the lacy slip and being at a photo shoot with tons of pictures of me in lingerie and a wedding dress. It made perfect sense. Loved the tie into the wedding as well. Being their virtually and in form was a nice touch. Technically, I am still ahead in the number of captions, but in quality, I am way behind. I love our trades and hope to keep doing so. But, I will be out of the state with no access to the Internet at times and no access to a computer for the trip, so I am going to be taking a vacation from creating captions.
Many thanks for this great captions.
I'm glad she enjoyed it, and hopefully it's one she'll remember while she's away from the computer and gone from the Haven while on vacation. If so, that's good enough of a thank you for me!
