I hope Neil Young will remember, Southern men don't need him around, anyhow!
It seemed like such a great picture for a caption, but DAMN is that background bright and gaudy! I like making captions for Zee (formerly ZakisZak) because she doesn't mind silly captions. A ways back, she had it in her preferences something about being turned into a carrot, so I made her a caption based off of that premise, as noted in the previous caption for "Texas Chainsaw Fricassee" which you can find HERE. When you have that sort of freedom, it can be liberating but also scary.
As I mentioned as a postscript in the posting to her Trading Folder, "Yeah, I laid it on thick, but I would suggest that they are playing to the stereotype he holds about them, which plays right into their hands, where he will become the stereotype he abhors." Since I went that route, I wanted to try to get the wording right, and since that went a bit over the top, I tried to keep the rest of the storyline grounded in some sort of reality .. kind of like if 2000 Maniacs were set in a TG universe starring Cletus the Slack Jawed Yokel. OK, so it isn't quite reality, but it did need an anchor point. Perhaps the man that fixed Zak's car is a bit like Lenny from "Of Mice and Men" and the rest of the town feels bad and decided to get him a suitable wife. That would be a happy ending I think!
Jeez, looking through the other captions I made for Zee, I had her in a rebel flag bikini! Now I do feel a bit like a douche, but hope she likes this caption anyway!
