... Something going on here that's not quite right!
Made this for Erin91, who just recently got herself a trading folder on the Haven. Whenever I see a picture of someone drinking that looks interesting, I save it as it can often work as a TG Caption, and this one made me think right away about a screwup due to the way she was dressed compared to his lack of footwear. Right then, I had my hook and just needed to flesh it out.
As I've done in the past, I can link up her thoughts by using the same introductory wording, in this case, "I suspect that you .." and in his case, "You" which is a literary technique that I'm not sure what it's called, but I call it "The Howl Method" since Allan Ginsburg used it in his influential beat poem, "Howl" where many of the frenetic blasts of words starts with "who". The repetition gives the story a skeleton of consistency to establish a pattern, which breaks when she gives him a response he wasn't expecting .. and hopefully it underscores a shock for the reader as well. If I had more space (like in a short story) I could've made better use of this device, but when you have an economy of words, you take what you can get.
I suspect that you just figured it was a basic TG caption crapped out in a few minutes, eh? I suspect that you just saw what I did there too, huh? We can still have fun AND have a deeper understanding of how story craft works at the same time. Something like this is one of the main reasons I started this blog, to go deeper than just, "Yay, I am now a woman!" wish fulfillment, but as an art form in and of itself, where words and images dance a tango of seduction and desire. It is also why I love to read and converse with others that see it that way, like Mistress Simone and Caitlyn and some of the other wonderful craftsman of TG captions .. sharing the "how's" and "why's" of creating and talking about the decisions we made when we are whipping up a new TG caption.
On a personal note, I've been doing well with physical therapy, but the ortho doc took out another 30 CC of "stuff" that was in my knee which will be analyzed. He's a bit puzzled why it is still swollen so he's trying to eliminate things like Lyme disease. God I hope I don't have that!
