I think this might be a PURRfect caption!
I am really happy with my overall work on captions within the last 7 days or so. I think its about the best week of quality I've had in quite some time, even with real life issues creeping around me, I have found a bit of a groove creatively where I don't feel like I've been repeating myself, and possibly breaking a bit of new ground for me to play with in the future.
Raven made me a 2 panel caption which was VERY fun and uplifting .. with a cute fairy that only seemed to know one spell .. but its one she is really good at doing! I thought it might be nice if I tried to return a caption while I was still in a good mood. I glanced through her preferences, including a few that had been added 2 weeks ago .. and hopped into her picture folder, and this one just sort of jumped out at me and started rubbing against my leg before following me home.
Though I am allergic to most animals (we now have fish at least!) we have a few stray cats that we try to take care of, and often I'll still pet them after giving them treats .. even though I immediately have to run upstairs to the apartment and wash my hands and take some liquid Benedryl. They are so sweet, and I really wish I could handle them. Just like the caption Raven made me, just seeing them for a few minutes can often make a shitty day a bit less shitty. I hope that THIS caption blog does the same for those who read it .. give you all a smile, a chuckle, or even a guffaw along with whatever happens to be rattling around my brain at the moment.
This song always reminds me of the planetarium my classes would visit when I was in elementary school. Just sitting in the dark, watching the stars (much more visible than the real ones in the light polluted city I grew up in) and relax. I guess the guy running it was sort of a 1970's hippie, as he'd usually play "Moonshadow" , "Moondance" and inexplicably, "More Than a Feeling" by Boston.
Also, for those who observe it ..
Happy Valentine's Day!
