Some things will NEVER change!
Well, I was going to post this in a few days, but I know that anticipation kills, and goddess knows I probably oversold this caption that I made for Katie Mills and Hailey Pixley. I wanted to make something fun and vibrant and show how siblings interact, regardless of what gender they happen to be inhabiting at that very moment. Another subtext is how the "angelic" ones are often the people that get into the most trouble! All you former altar boys that are now hot, sexy women, raise your skirts and show your garters and hose!
Have this video posted because there is just something about LIVE music that just GETS you when its performed at the pinnacle of talent. This band is one of those that usually rose to the occasion, especially when in front of huge crowds. Its a shame that they never an album with George Michael after Freddie died. I think he's the only guy that can do Freddie justice. Adam what's his face is just a pale substitute. I wish I had been able to see Queen with Freddie Mercury but I was a bit too young for that, but whenever Paladium plays the Montreal show, I just have to stop and watch at least a few songs, and they were so much more than just Freddie, but he was the topper.
Another live band that always delivers is Iron Maiden. I've seen them a number of times and they are SO tight, even with three guitarists now. Bruce is a maniac out there on stage and its just one classic song after another. This is how you should be rocking into your 50's and 60's! In this video, he's got EVERY punter in the palm of his hand, and I can't watch this without getting chills! They are my favorite live band and "Live After Death" is probably my favorite live album/CD. Up the Irons!
DISCUSSION QUESTION: What is your favorite live album/CD? What is your favorite live version of anything you've ever heard? Which band would you go back in time to see them play live in their prime if you had the chance?
