Well, since I had MADE the caption for Lacy, I should actually GIVE it to her, dammit!
At first, I had started making this caption for Lacy, but about halfway through, I thought it wouldn't be as good of a fit as it could've been so I finished it off and left it blank as to a recipient for awhile. I think I even offered it here as part of the giveaway. Then Lacy had her birthday, and I figured that while I didn't want to give her this caption as a trade, as a gift it was perfectly fine, if a bit away from all her preferences.
As I said in the original post, "This picture is sort of how I think of you here on the haven. Closets filled with elegant clothes and heels to match, and an entire dresser filled with the sexiest yet tasteful undergarments and hosiery." It's pretty much why I was originally giving her this caption.
I like the caption, but more so because it doesn't romanticize being a woman like many captions do. It gives you some of the less appealing aspects of it, and then balances it off nicely with the reveal. I think the zinger at the end is also a nice, though dark, touch, don't you think?
The bonus caption was for Dawn (Commentator) and was created around the first of April, right around the time I was playing with the new version of Photoshop. I really shouldn't post it now, since I just posted another auto-closet type caption on Sunday, but why not compare and contrast? This one is a more traditional version of the auto-closet, attaching clothing and changing him, while the previous one was changing EVERYTHING, including the room and it's furnishings. I would say both use descriptive words and details I don't usually bother with, as I tend to let the photos speak for themselves, but in a caption like this, you want to push the action to the center and make it seem exciting and scatter-shot, while pictures usually seem tranquil and sedate. In both, I want you to FEEL the caption happening, not just read about it.
So, which auto-closet caption did you prefer? Let me know in the comments! Feel free to talk about the caption for Lacy as well!
I got the first line from Archer, the animated TV show on FX about a spy agency. Incredibly funny if you haven't seen it. It just finished up Season 8. I believe all 7 previous seasons are on Netflix.
A bit of trivia for you. Under consideration for my birth name as a female .. Rhiannon. Yeah, so Damien is the son of Satan in The Omen, and since my family is French (In French, the meaning of the name Damien is: one who tames; subdues.) As a female, I would have been named after a Welch witch written about by Fleetwood Mac. It's one of the reasons I love this song. I can almost imagine how my life would have turned out if I was a girl named Rhiannon. This version of the song ROCKS!
