Meet the new boss .. same as the old boss! Interesting discussion ahead, I promise!
Had an idea for a caption, and the article of clothing that inspired it in my head .. led to finding this picture through a Google search. I figured that whatever photo was the best would guide me to how the plot was going to go, whether it would be more of a forced femme cross-dressing storyline or perhaps a magical sort of transformation could happen. Either way was good for me.
Well, this one seemed to be the one that was the best composed, and since I was leaning towards having it be set in an office, and the model's face seemed to fit Leeanne, as if she had gone to glamour shots before taking one of her real pictures .. a bit idealized, but still within the realm of possibility. The arm also covered the neck and cleavage nicely so that I could definitely go the cross-dresser route in the caption without anyone having to suspend disbelief.
From there, I put the photo in a caption setting and just started writing, with the goal of getting to the goal line by the end. With Leeanne as the subject, I knew I didn't have to have her character be too apprehensive, which to me was a relief! Something different to think about and play around with. I touched upon some of her proclivities while not going full bore on them in the beginning, since I wasn't trying for the sissy aspects of her.
Then I threw in the "record scratch" moment of a rom com trailer .. the loud voice in the hallway. The moment of revelation where all will be revealed, and life will never be the same again. If you haven't read the caption yet, please do then continue reading this post. OK.
Leo wasn't going to get fired. I had him as an executive since he had his own private office. The deep voiced man, probably with a surname of Jenkins, was a boss in the sense that he was most likely on the board, and Leo thought of him as a mentor, and they were close enough to play golf occasionally on a weekend, and probably hung out at the country club. It was kind of hard to actually show that though in the caption, but by leaving out something like, "Yes boss!" I hope I could convey that.
Executives don't usually get fired. They resign their position. With the first line, Deep Voice Jenkins says that she won't be fired, as both of them see her now as submissive feminine .. something that DVJ .. and probably Leeanne .. knows cannot be unseen. Leo however, is going to have to resign, which I think they both know is true the moment that DVJ walks in. However, there *IS* that happy Disney moment where everything comes together, and their relationship takes a whole new turn.
Hence, the "pink slip" doesn't factor too much into it, and it might be more of a red herring, and for that, I am glad. I think this caption could've been more of a "rim shot" caption with the play on words, but somehow I was able to squeeze more out of it than I thought I would, which gave it a bit of depth. Or perhaps I am just reading too much into it. Leo definitely did "slip up" big time though!
Guns N Roses are the gift that keeps on giving! This band has Grace (Grave) McKagan as the lead singer, and her proud daddy is Duff from GnR and Velvet Revolver. She loves Blondie and Kathleen Hanna! Be sure to crank up .. The Pink Slips!
