Whatever is he/she to do with the rest of her life?!?

Let me start by saying I'm lucky to have this saved at all. Just as I had finished the caption, something in Photoshop went haywire, and wouldn't let me save or do anything with it at all! Save, Save As, etc .. all gave me "program error in blah blah blah" and I was all URRGGHH! I found a Save to Web option, and was able to at least save it in a recognizable format. About 20 seconds after I did that, it completely crashed, taking any chance of improving it, modifying it, etc ... I did NOT want to have to try to recreate this again, since it was kind of a spur-of-the-moment caption anyway.

So, glad it was saved as I am quite fond of it. Not quite an O. Henry level rim shot, but I still fancy the whole idea and I think even without any refining that it is charming. Unfortunately, I'm betting there are lots of parents out there that would rather believe this than the actual truth. Whatever gets you through the night, you take what you can get.

So, since its a blog exclusive, let me know what you think in the comment section! Looking back after a few hours of creating it, I think its got a Hayley Pixley vibe.

Loved this Boston, MA bassed band. They were great in 10 Things I Hate About You, which is a really awesome movie based on The Taming of the Shrew by some dude named Shakespeare. It stars a few guys that ended up in the latest Batman trilogy. One of the best teen comedies on the 1990's!

Just because you look like a condom, it doesn't mean you HAVE to be on a dick! Or maybe you do!

Made this quickie a few days ago. Just saw the picture and the idea came to me. To be honest, if I was single, and a male friend came up to me trapped in this dilemma, I would probably feel the same way. It might be different if he was stuck .. well, perhaps it might be. Then again, I am probably more amenable to it now than 15 years ago. I would have to imagine that it would be even worse for him though, so if he wanted to have be break the spell ... I guess it depends if he changes back right away, or if there is like a grace period of 15 minutes to an hour where he is still a girl so I can get some clothes back on and split for a bit.

I am not sure if this makes me less open-minded than I thought I was, though I think the sticking point for me at this point is that I would know the girl as a guy. If it was an unknown person, I would definitely help them out. I would think it'd change the dynamics of the relationship no matter what .. yes it was a female body sucking me off, but HE was inside there. "Nice game of racquetball there Damien, but once again, I proved to be better than you!""Yeah, but I never sucked YOUR dick!" isn't really the comeback you want flying out of your mouth. "So, how was that stewardess you chatted up at the bar last night?""Not bad, but you were WAY better at blow jobs than she was!"

Which leads to another thought. Theoretically, I bet sissies are really good at sucking cock. I said it and I'll probably say it again! If the curse for the girl in the caption was that she had to deliver the best blowjob the guy has ever had in his life to change back into a guy .. you'd think that there would be a very good shot that he'd know exactly what got him off, and would be able to translate it into something that rocked the recipients world!

So yeah, apparently my mind has been floating around the gutter and I'm passing along the savings to you. Let me know what you would do with this scenario, from either the viewpoint of the guy, the trapped girl, or both if you can get yourself in that mindset.

And to Leeanne, Kaaren, and any of the other sissies that visit my blog from time to time .. you should challenge your wives the next time they cuckold you. If you give a better blowjob than your wife .. you should be free of duties (and that chastity cage) for the weekend! I'm rooting for you!

PS. There just MIGHT be another DIY coming soon.

Seven Deadly Sins .. in One Little Curse!

Are they really that deadly?

I think this caption fell through the cracks when I made it a few years ago. i don't think it made the blog, so its a new one for most of the non-haven readers here! As Petra (who isn't around anymore) mentioned in the comments, she was pretty sure that Wrath wasn't represented, and it devolved into a discussion on the greatest works of William Shatner (KHAAAAAAANNNNNNN!) It was made for Slutty Chrissy, who hasn't been on the Haven since January of 2012.

I was looking back this afternoon to the first comment that Caitlyn Masked had posted to my blog back on September of 2010 for "We Might Need to Redefine What An 'Abduction" Is" since she has announced she's hanging up her captioning (and commenting) shoes. You can read about that on her blog, as in the last few postings spelling out just why she isn't going to be around anymore. I really wasn't shocked by the announcement, as his muse (Caitlyn) hadn't been around for some time now, and he really felt like he was going through the motions. From the first comments here, you can see why this announcement doesn't shock me (though it really does sting to read about it.)
I like 'forced' caps because while I enjoy this online fantasy, I have no real life desire to become a woman. So when I read a story or cap that starts with the premise of the subject wanting to be female, I can’t see that being me. But when I read a story/cap that involves a person changing without their wanting it…. well I can dive in and ‘become’ that subject. Even if the process isn’t something that I am in general interested in, I can be that person. They don’t have a choice. Or even better they have a choice but chose something they don’t want (feminization) to help someone else.
By this point in time, he couldn't even dive in and become the subject anymore. Caitlyn was an escape for what was a rough period in his life, and when the improved, she ceased to be. In a way, I think that happened with Petra as well .. she left us when she got engaged to her now 2nd wife. (side note: they are both doing well .. at least since I've last heard from her around Christmas time. I hope to hear from her again around my birthday, though I'm not holding my breath.) Calvin was going through the motions, forcing himself to make things that didn't satisfy his creativity, mostly to hold on to friends, and pay off the trading debt he'd incurred. When your heart isn't in it, the activity you are doing suffers, at the very least to the person that is trying to keep it alive.

I said on her post from Monday:
You've always been too hard on yourself and I had gotten the feel that you didn't really have any challenges left in the TG captioning realm, and that is what you fed off of, that knack of doing something you hadn't done before. "Been there, done that, wore the maid's outfit and heels." was not on your agenda in the slightest.

If its not in you, why bother trying? I don't really want to add Calvin to the list of people I "used" to know, since I already placed Caitlyn on that roster quite a few months ago. Each name that gets added makes me feel even more like a relic.

I can totally make peace with the fact that you might not make anymore TG captions. Hell, you've carved out quite a legacy already, and if you feel like you are a 'Jeter'ing it now, then you have every right to stop. You've been true to yourself every step of the way since you found our little TG captioning niche a few years ago, and laid it out for your readers each and every time.
I meant what I said, and was ready to let it go. However, something that was poking away at my brain was the second paragraph, and how looking back at her first comment here made it even more apparent in a way I really hadn't made a connection to when posting on Monday.

The others that posted comments on the "Abduction" caption were: Smitty, Alectra, Meridon, Caitlyn, and a few months after it was posted, Missy. 3 and a half years ago, and the only person that really posts anymore is Missy (Missy's Sissy Caps, which has only 6 captions posted in 2014.) I go into my archives for captions like the one up top, and my thoughts inevitably become, "so I wonder what they are up to now." They all had their moments in the sun, and rode off into the sunset.

Is being a longtime member of the TG community a blessing or a curse? As there have been some issues that popped up over the last few months in my life, I wondered about slowing down, or taking a sabbatical from posting, both here and on the Haven. I've prided myself on never having had a prolonged gap in new material, and I think perhaps 7 days was my longest gap in generating a new caption for public consumption. I worry that I wasn't connecting with newer captioners the way that I used to, and perhaps I was overstaying my welcome.

But, I kind of need this place and its community, even if I'm the crazy person wandering down the street mumbling under my breath about credenzas and how back in my day, people had to use Microsoft Paint in 10 inches of snow both ways on their way to school, AND WE LIKED IT! I survived when Jessica first left, then Steffie, Petra, Bren and Courtney and all the rest, now Cailtyn as well. So to all those out there wanting to start making TG captions. Get to it! Someday, a long time from now I hope, you'll have to fill these shiny, high heeled combat boots that I stole from Rachel! In the meantime, just call on me to be your friend, and perhaps I'll buy you a non-poisoned beer!

Why yes! It's very impressive!

I'll leave this one very short since I've written much in the last few posts, and they've been a "look, but don't comment!" sort of response. Tons of views, little to no comments. I can understand, as I mean BOOBIES! The other caption was latex, which used to be a big deal for latex fans when I posted, but I think they've all moved on, or hopefully started their own TG caption blogs! It also deals with the topic of Sissy Blowjobs, which you'd think would inspire some debate! So anyway, feel free to check out the last few posts if you missed them, especially the DIY one because its still gotten under 1k views (while Seven Deadly Sins is already around 3k while being the latest post!) and I think everyone did a wonderful job with a hard picture.

By the way, I made this caption with the understanding that the guy WAS innocent, and that as a gung-ho type of investigator, ruffled many feathers, and someone, plus the support of the rest of the police force, helped this legitimate business owner get him off his back, by putting him/her on her back! Who says there isn't justice in this world anymore?

I preferred Sting when he wasn't so pretentious and soft and jazzy!

Chicks dig fast cars!

Pretty straight forward caption with no huge twists or turns. It also contains what just might be the truth of the ages. Form WITH function will always win out and chicks dig fast cars, whether they want you to know it or not!

Made this one for Sammie/Serena because I tend to owe her captions and I wanted to get it out of the way as soon as possible trade debt wise. When I saw the picture, all the elements just came right out into the open, and just GUSHED out into the caption setting right after I made it. I myself. and like my father, are partial to old Corvettes, but their younger cousins, The Camaro, are quite sexy as well. Driving one is like dating a plain model, rather than a supermodel!

An now, onto the DIY Challenge. Found the picture and I'm not quite sure what the hell is going on in the background. That is where YOU come in! Tell me what the story is behind the photo and I'll pl;ace it in the caption setting. The deadline is this Sunday, Father's Day June 15 at midnight PST. You can submit your plot by clicking on the "LATEST DIY" tab underneath the Blog Banner at the top of the page and then leaving it in the comments. That way we can (1) leave the comments section in this post for discussions on the above caption, (2) keep your ideas from accidentally spoiling someone else who'd like to take a crack at the DIY Challenge. Last thought: Do you want me to keep supplying the caption setting and placing your text in it, or would you prefer I just give the source picture and you create a full caption around it? You can certainly discuss that in the comments section below. Another option could be to give people the choice of their own caption or me placing your text into the setting I have provided.

I can stop whenever I want! I just don't WANT to stop!

Made this one a little over a week ago. I saw the picture (on the screen, you'll notice she's looking at a 'pantyhose fetish' website) and the idea came to me that this was a classic case of addiction. Would it manifest itself to THIS extent? I really don't know, but it certainly could. Maybe some of the readers out there could confirm or deny the situation!

I am definitely a big fan of pantyhose, and would I call it a fetish? Probably. Not one I particularly follow in my regular life, as the GF is definitely more of a hippie that anything else. I will definitely notice women wearing hose in public though, and most of the captions I make will use models wearing some type of hosiery. Trust me, I would love to see it come back into style again, and hope it does. Its something very feminine about the way many women will curl their toes and scrunch them up that is quite appealing. The way a nylon encased toe will dangle a heel delicately and flirtatiously. The subconscious rub along her calf, checking its smoothness or the shiny heel popping out and then back into her shoe. No one can deny, not even women who HATE hose, that it totally make your legs look better. Sure they can be uncomfortable, but you also get what you pay for!

With all that being said though, I could NEVER make a caption blog like Hailey does at A Tights Spot. While I feature hosiery fairly often, I am not sure I could make hundreds of captions about them and how they feel, how guys get trapped into them, etc ... Usually they are a side dish to whatever main plot point get conjured up in my head. The legs and heels pull me in originally, but its usually something else that puts the sizzle to the steak.

That is why it was so much fun for me to focus on the legs and pantyhose so prominently in this caption. It wasn't made for anyone in particular, though I did have both Hailey and Elise in mind when writing out "the confession" so to speak. I tried to give it that, "If guys had tits, they'd never leave the house!" but with a Dee touch.

DISCUSSION QUESTION: If you were only able to read/view one sort of TF/TG caption "fetish" which one would it be and why? Everyone has their own groove, so what would you have to pledge your allegiance to? For me, it would be REALLY hard, I'm a big slut for transformations in general, even outside the TG genre. Let me know what you think of the caption too!

Memories can be fleeting .. and others will never go away.

Made this one yesterday, and it was made with no filters. I had a little bit of trouble with the ending "zinger" but I think what I came up with encapsulates the feelings I was trying to convey nicely.

The psyche is a dangerous thing, and when it is applied as a direct coping mechanism, there is a fine line to be walked. We all try to do our best with what we are given, when its given to us. I know there is more to this story, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. Perhaps you can enlighten us more in the comment section below. As you probably figured, its a blog exclusive.

Also, the picture was originally a screen saver, and I am assuming its some sort of actress? If anyone knows who it is, please also list it in the comments. Perhaps any roles she's played would help in the back story. I mostly wrote what came into my head when I saw the picture. As I reached the end, I am still not sure who even acted out .. whether it was her, a jealous boy, perhaps her dad?

I am not sure I'll be posting tomorrow, but if not, I should be back on Friday. If I get some time, I might whip up a Father's Day caption, we shall see how motivated I am before Sunday.

Not sure the GF would want this song as the first dance at our wedding,

Jeepers Creepers .. on the Fast Track!

Sorry about not posting last night. The Stanley Cup Finals were on and went deep into double overtime! What a series. If soccer was anywhere near as exciting as hockey, I might actually watch a game or two. Anyway, now its a sports void until Football Training Camp happens in a few weeks. I am just teasing the Red Sox a bit, as they've been pretty abysmal so far. Hoping they can pick up their game a bit and actually try to defend their World Series Championship!

Anyway, here's a quick recap of this caption. Made it for Hoseyguy a little over a year go as a welcome caption. At the time I said:
You did say you were a bit of a gear head so I hope this is right up your alley all the way into the garage!
Since his screen name contains the word HOSE in it, I had a feeling this picture would work really well .. hot chick in hosiery posing on a creeper .. seems like a no-brainer! I made it seem like "she" was a bit oblivious, and kept it vague to whether he knew exactly what was going on or not. To me, it makes it a better caption, though your results might vary!

Figured I would throw up the last caption I posted too. If you missed it, due to its mellow caption name or relaxing and clean picture, you'd give it another chance.

Sometimes you REALLY don't want to go to work in the morning!

Hope everyone had a good Father's Day. Or at least survived it! I didn't get to see my daughter today as she had an 12 hour shift at the restaurant. Hopefully soon we will head out for a dinner, her treat, and there are a few vegetarian places I'd like to go to so perhaps she'll take me there! It also sucked because my family had a clam boil, except for me since I can't eat them anymore due to the previous health issues I mentioned. I had some really good stuffed mushrooms, but it was odd to sit outside with my GF while the rest of my family was inside eating there. Felt pretty isolated, though we did get to keep an eye on my cousin's 2 year old daughter while he ate clams inside. In a way, it made me miss not only my daughter, but how much fun it was to watch her run around as a 2 year old, discovering everything for the first time .. and then trying to destroy it! So yeah, an uneven day for me overall, but it could have been much worse, since I still have my dad around to argue politics!

Made the caption for Sarine Davis (aka Belladonna on Fictionmania) mainly because I hadn't made her a caption in a month or two. Over time, I've developed a rapport with quite a few TG trading captioners, and they are fun to make, and receive captions from. Her work is always fun to read, and mostly plausible, and well done .. and her preferences fail pretty well into my wheelhouse.

I tend to make captions for Sarine that echo her work on Fictionmania, which puts it into the realm of the office generally. I try to spin them a bit though and take a detour. My captions are very short compared to her work, so I can definitely stop on a dime. I would assume that is why she makes captions too. After working out 12k words or more on one person's descent into femininity, making some quick, to the point captions is most likely a vacation.

I know that there is a bit of time left for people to submit something, but I doubt I'll get anything else tonight so I figured I'd just post them here and now. If someone did, I'll tack it on to this post sometime Monday evening.

The first submission was from Annabelle Raven who wanted to take a crack at it, and it certainly sounds like she enjoyed the picture, as its something I could definitely have seen her post at her own TG Caption Blog. Its a great read, but definitely fiction. I mean, ME .. narcissistic? Extra frilly undergarments in YOUR maid outfit Annabelle! :P

Up next is first timer here in the DIY challenge, Sarah Ashley. You can tell that Amy runs a tight ship of a bar, and perhaps the portrait is showing the one of her relatives serving their signature drink, though I think if you had too many of them, you'd definitely be signing things with a different name! Glad you had the inspiration to whip up something for the readers to gaze upon, and I hope you'll create something again real soon!

And the final submission is from Helena, and she always creates a great world that the caption plot inhabits, and this one is no exception. Not many captions drop Plato into the storyline so bravo for that, and making me a goddess is always a great way to get on my good side! See Annabelle, I am not the slightest bit narcissistic! Its so much better when OTHERS sing my praises! Hahahaha!

Wonderful job everyone .. and what happened to Ian lately? This might be the first DIY contest that he's missed in months, and I haven't seen comments either. Ian!!! Make sure you check in and let us know that everything is OK!

I'm guessing that every person with TG tendencies at all wanted to look like Dolly Parton in the 1970's. Hell, looking like that in a drag show in 2014 would be a blast I'm betting. Has RuPaul done a tribute to this buxom paragon of femininity yet? She's everything that was good about the 1970's rolled up into on little ball of giggling, girlish glee. Watching the movie again, didn't you want to BE Dabney Coleman in that contraption, perhaps subliminally teaching and molding you on how to be just like her? The return to the office as her twin 6 months later would be worth it I think!

Life seems to be settling down a bit and I was able ot make a caption today! This one was made for Ridney, who I think is one of the most important people on the Haven because, in addition to BEING a trading captioner, she also comments on others work .. a lot! To me, that keeps everyone in the game, and motivated to continue making captions. We all get down now and again, and feedback is such a cure all. I'm hoping this will keep her smiling and involved with the Haven.

I had saved the picture about a week ago I think, and I loved the image but at that time had NO IDEA what to do with it but I knew it would come to me at some point. Sometimes, you can be on fire and in the zone and a bunch of other cliche phrases to describe how ON you are .. and when I saw this picture, I wasn't feeling anything in particular. I still made a few captions, but they seem to be a bit more labored than most of what I do, and those haven't seen the light of day yet here. Those might get re-done or polished, and sometimes they make good markers for when I announce future DIY challenge contests. In addition, those middling captions can make the good ones seem even better!

I know I sort of ruin the whole story with the large text (which could be considered a title) but realistically, its the way it had to end. Just thinking of it as a Simone or Caitlyn designed caption from a few years ago takes away any possible headache I have from the "spoiler" potential!

Anyway, I really like this one, and I like the caption I made yesterday. I'm holding off on it because Hailey and I might do a "Same picture, different story" posting within the next few days. The picture I used it very Hailey friendly I think, and asked if she would mind. She said, "Sure!" I'm not sure how different my caption will be from hers story wise, but my thought is it will be fun either way, to compare what drove us to write what we did, and how we made it come about. Things like this are truly what intrigues me about caption making in general. If someone else uses a picture in a caption that I have also used, I look at it and get to see another person's creative process and how they take what is in the photo and turn it into a story. Perhaps everyone out there will find it as fascinating as I hope it will be; and if other captioners are interested, I'd be happy to do it with them too!

What Happens in Vagueness ..

... Stays in Vagueness! A Hailey Pixley / Dee Mentia "one picture, two stories" production!

Had a bit of trouble coming up with a title for this one, so I went with a hopefully clever saying, playing off the "What happens in Vegas .." aspect that we really have no idea (yet) of why Hunter and Damien were abducted. Its pretty obvious that something is going on medically (and subliminally) to our two soon-to-be completely feminized heroines. Or ARE THEY?

The thought process for the caption was as follows.

Found the source photo and decided that Hailey should be one of the characters, and I would be the other. They were staring at what looked to be a window so to me it was obvious that they were captives, being feminized for some reason. Why? Well, it didn't really matter to me, I would let the reader figure out on their own if they really want to think about it. I could've carved all the speculation out of it, but I kind of liked that I kept it vague RIGHT in the caption .. I mean, if you were kidnapped with another person, how much of the conversation would have been, "who took us and why?!?" and the longer you are there, the more tenuous a grip on reality you would probably have, especially with a bunch of new feelings and sensations.

From there, I figured that if you've been ripped away from all human contact, save for one person that is in the situation as you, you'd either end up HATING them, or forming a strong bond .. and as they get softer and more woman like, they probably become more attractive to you, even if they still sort of possess a male part. For those who like some humiliation and/or embarrassment, I would think that this might be your favorite part of the story. How much of it is programming, and how much is something else AND the reminders of what you were and what you are becoming?

It can become very easy to try to over analyze this caption though, draining it of its essence to arouse or draw you in as a character. I hope it makes you wonder what actually happened beforehand and what happens the next morning and the next couple days after that. If it did, then I think I've done my job as a captioner.

Here is Hailey's version of the caption with the same picture. I have no idea what she did before I made mine, and she was left in the dark about what I had created as well. I am so glad that she just did what she always does, and didn't try to do anything outside her comfort zone, as this definitely has her sensibility. I love the humor that comes out underneath, and I am a huge fan of dialog that gives exposition without sounding like a radio commercial. Until Mom speaks, you don't have a full idea of what is happening, as she reveals (and resolves) the conflict. You can head to her blog site HERE for more information on her creation which should be up sometime Thursday night.

For those of you that are still here .. C'mon in!

If you'd like to comment about the actual caption, please feel free, but the rest of the post is going to be more of a discussion about caption blogs rather than anything to do with the caption.

Another captioner heading out the door .. Rauk22 .. and I am starting to get numb to it all. Well, not quite, because as you can tell, each time someone leaves, my "abandonment issues" rear up again. Viewers of TG blogs are great to have, and even more so if they comment, but usually the bulk of keeping a community alive falls on those that continually post the content. They become the main reason that people start up a routine of finding the TG Captions they love, and hunt to discover new ones to feed the hunger.

I can't speak for everyone, but I never feel like I'm in competition with any of the other TG bloggers out there, other than I want to make the best and most creative work I can, and if they up their game, I want to do the same and make them even better. I want everyone to do incredible work. If the average person goes to Hailey's site, or Simone's site and see something stunning, they are going to come back in a day or two to see what else they are posting. They are also going to check out my site, Elena's site, etc .. and its totally reciprocal. They will see a sissy caption I made, and from a comment by Leeanne, or a referral click on my links column, find more places to visit, until they've worked up a routine of 5-10 (or more!) sites to visit fairly regularly.

I can make a caption, and it inspires Britney Shagwell to make a continuation .. or reading about sissification and cuckolding from Kaaren expands my TG captioning palette. I liken this to when I was involved in my band and we got together originally and just jammed out songs we liked, which over the period of months, jelled into a form of what we wanted to do in our original songs. I heard groups I had never seen and came to appreciate and made my musical worldview exponentially larger. The same thing has happened organically over the years in the TG community.

I've had many friends leave over the years to do other things, be bullied into leaving, experience life in new settings, Love or Marriage or Death, get bored with the boundaries we set in this genre, or get discouraged by the lack of comments and acknowledgement of their creative outlet. It doesn't matter if its for good reasons or not, they left, and people will continue to leave. From my perspective though, the last few months have been particularly devastating to the TG community.

Take a look at this site from Mindy Z.  She's got quite a large grouping of TG Caption links in her Blog List. Because her list is in alphabetical order, its so disheartening to see all the blogs that haven't been updated in at least 2 months or more. When someone goes to Mindy's site, and they do because she posts almost every day, what do you think they think when they see so many inactive blog sites either closed or abandoned? Looking at my blog list isn't nearly as bad since I have it sorted by most recent post date, so you don't see the inactive blogs until you get toward the bottom.

The latest captioners to leave aren't necessarily the straw that broke the camel's back, but many of them were essential viewing to enough people that their lack of presence puts holes in that chain of sites people love to visit as part of their routine. Do they try to find other captioners to fill that void or do they put their hands up at some point and disappear as well?

To the readers out there, we TG bloggers KNOW you are there, in the numbers of page views, but even more when you let us know what you think. I have noticed that Ian hasn't been around lately, and I hope its just a vacation or period where he's not able to access TG sites. Kaitlyn hasn't posted on her site in 2 months, and if you are out there, let us know that everything is going well! As people that "consume" our product, make yourself known and influence this community that needs to flourish during a downturn of interest.

If you are a captioner or would-be captioner. NOW IS THE TIME! Let them know who you are and what you do! Make them get invested in your work and see you as essential viewing. Up your game by trying a new technique or reflect on your progression since you started (or lack of progress?)

For those who have thought about making captions .. its never been easier to do! Even if you post a picture and place the text in the body of the blog, your presense will be known. Tell people about your real life .. or make up a flamboyant persona of who you would LIKE to be. Don't be sad that your favorite captioner isn't making captions anymore that you can relate to, make your own. Go to Rachel's Haven, sign up, and look at the wonderful tutorials for free software. Ask the very captioners you visit everyday how they made the text all bendy or what routines they go through to clear their mind to be creative. I can't imagine anyone turning down your request for information! Be a part of the community instead of just observing it.

And trust me, I understand how real life works, and have been dealing with a few issues myself, but if/when we ARE here in non-meat space, the community needs our involvement when we can. Make a difference while you can. Each and every person that has been a friend of mine through here did. Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet!

Savatage is one of my favorite old school metal bands. They've evolved and many of the musicians and songs have become known with a more familiar name, Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Enjoy!

My promise to you, readers and captioners .. Post a link to your TG blog in the comments, perhaps to a piece you've created that you think might be your "signature work "and I'll feature it in an upcoming post. Its time to start building up another list of active blogs.

Kaaren's Special ... One Shining Moment in Time!

.. well, until she starts sucking off the Emcee!

Made this one as sort of a follow-up to another caption I have never posted anywhere! Actually I will post it below because it probably isn't worth having its own post. For some reason, as soon as I saw this picture, I thought of Sissy Kaaren walking on the stage to accept an award. Of course, what sort of high honor could be bestowed upon her? Well, read the caption to find out! If you need to see her in action, you can check out one of her blog HERE!

This one was made for Rachel, or as I like to call her in her male mode, Ray Chelhaven. I saw the photo and thought about it being a consolation picture of a alpha male competition, and of course, ONLY ONE WILL SURVIVE! Its meh to me, but it is playful and isn't a failure, its just sort of there.

Gotten a few responses from people for the last blog post. If you haven't checked it out yet, please do. I am going to respond to every comment so feel free to say something or anything. If you'd like to respond in private, just email me at d3m3nt1a.n0tm3y0u@gmail.com (exchanging the numbers for the letters, of course!) I will redact this in 3-4 days.

What was that Dee? You don't usually make body sway captions?

Well I guess I can make an exception in this case, though its not strictly body swap as there is an extra component in there that will have Evan becoming more slutty. Made for Lady Harmony, I just was not a fan of the leg wear, and the model's face had that confused look on it that I figured would work well in a TG caption. As for the body swap, I wanted to do something different, and make it the girl's choice to change. It wasn't TOO hard to figure out WHY she'd want to change, right?

I'm sorry about not answering all the comments yet in Saturday's blog post yet. I see that quite a few more people left a note. Ironic that Real Life intruded on me on Monday, when a co-worker fractured her three body parts. She goes into surgery tomorrow to have various pins and such put in. Needless to say, I've had to clear all her work in addition to my own, and that meant extra meetings and a visit to her house to make sure we could get everything done that needed to be done, and a timetable for future work etc ... I should be back to normal in a day or two .. WOO! I hope to get all the comments taken care of by Friday, and even more to get working on some new stuff for here and the Haven, since I have almost depleted my recently created captions here in the meantime. Somewhere in the next 10 days, I will also be distracted by my birthday and the 4th of July. Let's have a Summer of Love to rival the ones those hippies used to have in the 1960's!

Lounging by the Pool .. For a Change!

Somebody I know must own a pool .. right?

Its Friday! Woooo! Regular weekend, birthday, then short work week and long weekend! I'm definitely looking forward to it all. Also going to see if I can pick up some games and such for my vintage Sega systems, namely the Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast. Almost have things all set up to be able to play things like Baku Baku, Nights Into Dreams, Panzer Dragoon and other classics!

Made this caption for Matt/Martina who doesn't like permanent changes. I hadn't made them a caption in FOUR years so I wanted to make them something good for neglecting them for so long. While glancing through some pictures online, I came across this one, and it was well suited for a text on photo caption. The idea of the whole tan-line came very quickly, and I thought it gave a bit of more than temporary feel, with a stitch of humiliation and humor too. It was also fun to write a character that would roll with the gender change and accept it, having an idea that it probably wouldn't be permanent, and even enjoying the situation for what it was.

IF we had REAL internet like we do now back in the 1980's, I would love to live there now!

Blast from the Past .. Blowing Out the Candles!

when you have 666 candles on your cake, it takes a big breath to blow them all out!

Unfortunately, there are hardly any captions left in my folder that were given to me on previous birthdays. The stupid database crash affected most people, but the people with the biggest trading folders (I had the 2nd largest behind Bren) lost the most captions. I really didn't save that many captions made for myself, figuring that the Haven would hold them as long as needed. Luckily I was able to find this one that Steffie made for me back in 2009. I don't have any of the B-day captions that Petra made me, nor the ones from Courtney. Grrr, I think my wish would be to go back a few years and back up all the captions that people gave me!

Also found this one that was made for me by one of my captioning favorites back before I started doing it myself, Jen DerBender. We even got to talk shop a few times, and this caption was only the 2nd time she'd ever done a magical caption, so I feel blessed for having known her!

I hope that everyone had a great weekend! I have finally answered all the comments from the previous week, and will be adding some new links hopefully this week if work is slow. If anyone has some ideas for a posting here, please let me know and I'll see what I can do. At this point, I think I'm back on track and ready to roll.

I Can't Believe They Think I'm THAT Insensitive!

Its always good to be self-aware, right?

Made this one a few minutes ago, and its one of my favorites over the last month. I seem to break out the short but sweet captions for Ron from Rachel's Haven. His work has always been straight to the point, and really made me hone my craft from when I started, so I try to make the same sort of captions for him as well.

Pretty much I charge straight ahead with your typical "cliched" caption setup that you've seen time and time again. I've got you thinking, how in the hell is Dee going to pull the wool over our eyes and give us some incredible twist that makes M. Night Shamallamadingdang sleep with the covers over his head .. and instead, I go right to the punchline like some rookie comedian at the Improv on a Monday amateur night. Bang! Zoom! Writing like you'd see in "According to Jim" !!

Anyway, I hope everyone likes it. Trust me, if this caption actually happened to me in my 20's, I probably would've said the SAME thing as Ron did here.

Zak Is Still a Rebel .. Sorta! Happy Fourth of July!

I don't even know what the words on the wall behind her say. Then again, it took my 5 years to figure out there were words behind her!

The interesting thing about this caption I made for Zak/Zoe (who later became Zee) is that I didn't really refer to the "Stars and Bars" design of her bikini other than as the title of the caption. I did not want to do a Southern Pride or Redneck sort of caption and also wanted to stay away from any political statement. Pretty much what you read in the story is how I interpreted what the picture told me. Also, I try not to involve too many characters anymore .. back then I did and it clouded up the comprehension of the caption too much I think. Zoe is the one talking throughout the story, but she first talks to her new mom, and then to her former friend Steve .. and also refers to her former girlfriend, now sister, in the dialog. I probably could have, and should have, just had Steve say something, probably, "Is that YOU in there Zak?" just to transfer to direction of her conversation to Steve, and acknowledge that Sue's mom had left the room.

Zee had pretty much acknowledged all that in a reply back from the post
I think it took me a second reading to quite nail the relationships of who was who in the narrative, and dodged my expectations by not being about the confederate flag bikini.  Not meant as a criticism, I like the cap a lot (particularly the more I think about the larger story that it is a snippet of)
I even felt complied to respond, so that anyone else that wasn't quite getting the storyline, could follow it, and hopefully not give up and wander off.
Ok, I'm glad you clarified. It was a bit hard to follow at first since I only had that one picture, so I tried to have the other characters move in an out while you were posed in that manner.

For those that didn't follow. Zak's GF's mom turned him into his GF's sister. Zak's old friend comes over to visit (and was probably invited over by the mom to embarrass Zak) The mother leaves (at the end of the 2nd paragraph) and then Steve is talking to Zak exclusively. The mom's thinking was that the best way to stop Zak and Sue from being together was to make them sisters. I wouldn't have put it past her the mom to try to be hooking up Steve and Zoe either! All those teenage hormones running wild!

Wow, reviewing this caption has made me all tingly! I think I really like this one!
That is essentially the caption in review form. I don't usually like to do that anymore, since anyone's interpretation is fine by me, and many times I try to deliberately be vague and open-ended. Here though, I wasn't sure if my intentions were actually clear so discretion was certainly the better part of valor in making sure people saw what they needed to see.

Lastly, vanity hit me a bit with this caption.. It was QUITE small (I think the Haven didn't accept captions larger than 800 pixels wide at the time) and so I wanted to make it somewhat larger. When doing that, it made it harder to read, so I went and "Remixed" it, adding shadow and clarity to the text, and since I'd already done that, I went and made the picture stand out a bit more too. I do promise that I will NEVER make Greedo shoot first, ok?

Its a tradition here at "Dee-lusions of Grandeur" to post a video of Wonder Woman doing something in honor of the Fourth of July. Honestly, Lynda Carter is STILL the Wonder Woman that everyone drools over. Many other characters could have debates about (I'll always take Julie Newmar as Catwoman, than you very much!) but its pretty definitive all around in favor of Lynda Carter!

Many people in the US think of the Beach Boys on the Fourth of July, but I'm not one of those. I much prefer the Queers version of "Don't Back Down" which is quite faithful to the original while still having a punk spirit of, "I'll play whatever the fuck I want to, and I'll do it well!"

Blue Jean Blues!

Even dressed down, things are looking UP!

Made this one for Anne Oni Mouse a couple hours ago. Here is what I posted to her trading folder along with the caption:
Well, I was sitting here at night on the rained out 4th of July and of course, listening to ZZ Top as any true American would, and I found this picture. Of course, I just had to cap us in it, and Billy Gibbons and the boys helped me take it where it needed to go, which was up the road a bit!
That pretty much sums it up. The city will be doing their fireworks display on Saturday night instead, and the family is now having their cookout on Sunday. ZZ Top has a song called Blue Jean Blues and it was playing right around the time I found the photo I used for the caption. A title for another one of their songs popped into my head, "Arrested for Driving While Blind" wherein my brain popped in "Blond" instead and I had my caption.

I thought it came out pretty good, and was happy with it, along with a few people that have already commented on it, mostly saying they liked the dialog. When rereading it though, I noticed that I had actually fucked up the coloring towards the end! EEK! Luckily I don't think it impacts it too much, well I HOPE it doesn't! Here is the corrected version:

DISCUSSION QUESTION: Did it really make a difference? For me it does slightly, as the "Dee" voice tends to have more knowledge and so the roadhouse thing probably SHOULD be in white. Then again, their mental state IS tenable, so perhaps they are both vacillating between actual knowledge and bimbo thoughts. Please let me know what YOU think?

and hey, maybe later, we'll be doing THIS at the roadhouse!

Do I Make Myself Clear? and a DIY Challenge!

Crystal is definitely clear!

Just posting a quickie I made the other night with a picture I liked enough to caption, but not enough to make it a trade caption, since the photo doesn't "STAR" the recipient. I hope Ian likes it enough .. I'm imagining he'll be looking like a chip off the old block soon enough!

Here is this week's DIY Challenge. Figured I would give the boob lovers something to latch on to, so to speak. Because I'm hoping some people that make captions will be interested, I am also going to post just the picture in case someone wants to place it in their own caption setting, or further manipulate it before submission. I think it's pretty open ended and much easier than the girl with the sailing ship on her head!

The deadline will be next Sunday at Midnight, Pacific Standard Time. If you have something written before I can change the Latest DIY posting, go for it! I plan on setting it up on Monday afternoon.

Its a shame that Gary Cherone ended up with the stink of being the last singer for Van Halen. He was so much better in Extreme (a Boston band!) and honestly, had the better guitarist! He'd actually make a much better replacement for Paul Stanley of Kiss if they ever decided to let him retire from singing. Scratch that, I'd much rather see him in Queen than Adam Lambert!
