I Am Not a Number, I'm a Free ...

Hey Baby? What's your number? 6 ? That seems like a few digits short!

Made this one a number of years ago for Jillisa, figuring she might be the kind of person that understood the pop culture reference. I think British people, Sci-fi fans, and those who enjoy vintage Iron Maiden songs would get it .. well, Simpsons fans might as well!

It'd would be interesting if they updated The Prisoner, since so much of our lives are now captured in digital format .. images, voices, and thoughts transcribed to the waiting world for all to see. Its hard to be discrete nowadays, as there are so many electric eyes out there. Cobain had it right when he said, "Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you."

I thought I had posted this caption before, but I can't seem to find it here. I swear, me searching to find captions I haven't posted here takes me longer than it does to write up the post I think!

DISCUSSION QUESTION: I've been seeing many TG Caption blogs listing the "transcript" of the body of text within the caption INTO the actual blog post itself. Do people actually read that version instead of clicking on the caption to see the complete work? Why do you captioners out there do it? Is it for search engine purposes or something else? I wondered if I should be doing that too, but I would think it'd make these posts even longer!

.. While your head screams, "WHAT?!?"

Made a caption for Sarine this afternoon. Found the photo whilst web browsing and the story came to me almost immediately. The actual room and her outfit screams, "PRINCESS BEDROOM!!" as any parent of a daughter from the past 20 years will no doubt agree. I knew I could work that into something, so I snagged it and put it into a setting. How would a guy be turned into a princess ... TINKERBELL of course! DUH! Cinderella's wishing well in Fantasyland seemed like a good place to seal his fate and its from there I came up with the title.

I think the topic of the plot is fun and to be honest, the wishes are probably on par with some of the population. There are little boys that wish they could play dress-up with girls and yet shoot arrows like Merida from Brave. "I swear Dad .. its a KILT!" There are girls that HATE putting on tights and dresses to go to church or "look pretty" and wish to roll around in the mud and ride their bikes past curfew. Sometimes they outgrow those phases ... other times they stick.

I tried to make a "DOH!" type caption that was still sweet and loving with a happy ending. It almost makes you forget that Sara is topless in the caption! OH MY!

For some reason, I don't think this would be covered under my health care plan. Its a shame really, because I had scoliosis when I was a child. They never offered this sort of treatment! I thought I had posted this one before, but can't seem to spot it so if its a duplicate .. WHOOPS?

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Not sure how much I'll be around .. the GF found out her step brother has a sort of inoperable (at this point) type of cancer. We might be taking a road trip to see her family. There might be a post on Sunday if I get a chance. I've made some comments on others blogs (and in the comment section here) that I might want to try to flesh out into another post.

You can't say that I never write captions for myself, now can ya? huh? oh yeah!

Well, as you probably know by now, I didn't win Powerball, but its up to 400 million dollars now so its an even bigger purse for me to win! Woohoo purse! Only the pure of heart .. or pure evil usually win these lotteries, so I figure I've got it covered both ways!

So this blog posting will probably be a mash up of different things, so follow along with my ADHD and take wander around my scattered thoughts, and stay for the omelets .. I have one scorching hot brain pan to cook the mushrooms and peppers .. just be careful of the sriracha lurking inside!

RE: GFS BROTHER

They have this radical treatment sort of like chemo they said they could try to see if they can get the tumor to shrink so they could remove it BUT its one of those situations where the treatment is just as bad as the cancer, with no real guarantee it will actually work. He's mulling it over now to see what is best for him.

RE: CAPTION TRANSCRIPTIONS

I have a few thoughts on that that I replied to others in that post. I'll recap them here:

FONTS:
Funny you mention fonts .. as someone that delves into graphic design at work, I spend much time working with fonts and how they are viewed. They need to kern well and look good at a variety of different sizes. Often, they should also be able to blend into the background so that people notice the copy (the content) you are getting across, and not the text formatting itself.

I have found a few fonts that work really well in captions, and I stick with them. Other than using a "handwritten" font for effect, I would prefer most people stick to a basic non comic-sans, non times-new-roman that integrates well into their structured design.
 WHAT EXACTLY *IS* A CAPTION?
I guess for me, a caption is the integrated whole enchilada of story and image in one fell swoop, self-contained and its own entity. I even have trouble getting into TG Blogs that have a picture posted, then a few paragraphs afterwards .. its a pseudo-caption, and it just feels disjointed to me .. unless its just one or two sentences, like Leeanne's work.
I am thinking of possibly posting a transcript mostly for the idea that foreign language readers will be able to see what was written. The only strike against that is I think that MANY of my captions are based off American Pop Culture, and colloquial turns-of-phrase that might not translate well. Trying to explain many of my captions to Martha, who actually is REALLY good at English, made me realize I'm not an artist on par with Charlie Chaplin, which transcended international borders.

MORE BAND TALES:
We actually got a headlining set one night because the original group no-showed. We were supposed to be the 1st act, but we had more original songs than the middle slot band (they only HAD 8 songs!) So we went on last and did all 14 songs we'd practiced up until that time plus 3 cover songs as an encore .. though that still only filled up about 70 minutes! (edit: it was actually probably closer to 60 minutes .. we wrote short songs!)
If you head HERE, you'll see a caption that Jennifer made for me based around the band stories I posted on Monday. The irony after all this is that a famous nightspot in the area we used to play, the old DJ is trying to get a reunion show together at a hall and there is a possibility one of my former bands will reunite for that show. Perhaps Dementia and the Skullfuckers will blow minds again!

THE PERILS OF .., CAITLYN!

Click HERE to head to Caitlyn's latest posting, where she lays out her current situation. I don't mind having Calvin around from time to time, even if Caitlyn walks off into the sunset and never captions again. I usually talked to Cailtyn/Calvin as one entity, so I don't think it effects me as much as some of the other people. I don't really role play and often when we talked, it was about life in general and/or the artistry behind making captions. That probably won't change much. Having Calvin around is still a win/win for us in any case!

OTHER STUFF:

I think I like this idea of recapping anything I had mentioned before in posts over the last week or so that people might not see if they just open the most current blog posting. Sort of puts things in perspective, and if people want to talk more about it, I am all for it! This might become my new Sunday night thing.

I made the caption this morning. Not only do we have GF's brother situation, the GF and I are fighting what we think is ear or sinus infections. Then my grandmother called up last night and said, "I am back in the area for a few weeks," which means I will be over there quite a bit. She is a lot of fun, and goes out partying 4 nights a week back in Florida, but she gets bored here because her friends are down there. This will cut into my free time but I'm not quite sure yet if she'll live forever ... though she's almost 90 years old so whatever she's doing must be pretty good.

I still also need to work on a special project for the nest issue of the Haven Quarterly that Rachel keeps bugging me to complete. There are various other things that are filling my time so I sort of feel like I am going a bit crazy, hence the caption. Figured I could have some fun and poke various holes into my online persona(s) just to keep us all honest. Sometimes we can be SOOOO pompous!

Since its a blog exclusive (I think) feel free to comment about the caption and/or any followups to what was written above. If it wasn't for all of you, I'd just be talking to myself, and I don't need to type if I wanted to do that! Speaking of insanity .. isn't that the most sexy straight jacket you've ever seen? Sometimes you have to suffer for fashion's sake!

While Strolling Through The Park One Day ...

.. and just hit a little speed bump!

Made this one for Katie Mills as I was pretty sure I owed her a caption and when I saw this picture, I knew it'd make a good one for her (though it would've fit Hailey nicely as well) once I got a handle on it. I always look for interesting things within a picture that might help me anchor it to the story, and reward those whose notice those quirks as well.

The pose and facial expression gives a muted but positive feeling which was nice, as I was hoping to portray a "lets make the best of this situation" vibe from Katie and her mom is certainly supporting of her trying to look like a girl. However, those shoes do NOT match the rest of the outfit and I can't imagine a mom wanting her former son heading outside with a see-through blouse.

I have no idea what actually happened in the park. I figured perhaps some sort alien transference device, genderwave virus, coven of witches .. I didn't think it really mattered in the grand scheme of things to know exactly what went down there in the park. Maybe people will like it even better when they can imagine the circumstances and maybe place themselves there for a fantasy.

The ending was always going to be that stinger, as it was probably the main reason I chose that picture. When source material gives you something like that, you certainly try your hardest to work it into the storyline.  I mean, everyone knows what happened to Rover while Katie was walking him and that strange situation occurred right? Perhaps this video will help?

Sorry about not posting yesterday. Just lots of busy life type stuff happening, and I didn't have an opportunity to caption or put anything up here. Can't wait until the weekend so I can catch up on some rest and relaxation!

Some Lovin' from the Oven!

Making this a real short post. Had quite a long day, and got home to relax and found out that the GF's car stopped moving about 2 miles from her work, which is about 45 miles from home. She is going to have it towed to our mechanic and hopefully he can take care of it cheaply. Light a candle and/or say some prayers for us tonight .. since we didn't win Powerball last night either! Either way, I am going to be leaving here soon hopefully to pick her and a co-worker up from the mechanic. I guess it depends how long it takes AAA to bring it back. It sucks that she works 2nd shift and so far away from home but what else can we do? I mean, we all need to eat!

Measuring up to the Competition!

You don't want to end up on the short end of the stick.

Let me start off by saying "AARRGGHHH!!" Our mechanic was so busy (meaning he really does good work) so he didn't get a chance to look at the GF's car. He'll hopefully be able to look at it Monday. In the meantime we are worried that it could the transmission or a myriad of other things. The interesting thing is that nobody that I know has "diagnosed" it the same way. I know a few people that are good at figuring out what car issues are happening (I'm actually pretty good at it too, though I don't usually have the knowledge to FIX said problem, but I can say, "Its the fuel pump" or "the plugs are misfiring" at least) and they are all over the place. I tend to want to believe that its the cheap, "the one of the tranny mounts probably came loose and she lost a bolt," as opposed to "sounds like the tranny is shot."

I am going to work an early morning shift on Monday so I can get the GF to her job in time not to miss work, then work the rest of the shift from home, then drive back to pick her up. So that entails, Home to My Work (20 miles south) to her work (20 miles north past our house, then 40 miles north and west to her work) then 40 miles back to my apartment ... when her shift is done, 80 miles round trip from home to her work and back. Hopefully the mechanic will have figured it out and has a plan by then so we don't have to do that shit too much longer.

We've been dreading this for quite some time. Her car has about 260k in miles (140 now on the engine) and I have 240k on the car I am currently driving. To continue living our "extravagant lifestyle" we have to drive elsewhere for decent paying work. If we could afford to upgrade our rides, we'd definitely have done it already. So if her car is toast, I'm not really sure what we are going to do.  Right now the most affordable things I am seeing online is a 1991 Honda Accord for 800 bucks (has 210k miles, a chip in the windshield and a rot hole in the trunk) and a 1996 Chevy S10 Xcab for 1100 bucks with some rust. I'd prefer not to get raped by a "buy here, pay here" place, especially since I haven't found a part-time job yet to augment my full-time job.

In the end, I'm just venting mostly .. thanks for listening. Lets hope its just a small thing and she's back on the road in no time for little money.

<><><><>

Made this quickie caption for Wendy on Friday, in between driving the GF to work, etc .. I guess I am pretty lucky that my schedule can be mixed up a bit as long as I do the work later. Its also slower in July, and just starting to pick up now for the Fall Season. I ended up making three captions, though they haven't all been posted. One of them has a Leeanne cameo, so be on the lookout for that one!

The GF also hasn't been feeling well, so she went to bed like 7 PM. I watched some Batman: The Animated Series from the 1990's (one of my favorite all time shows) and now am online. Perhaps I will go picture hunting and try to whip up something in the caption milieu if I can get in the mood.

<><><><>

I'd like to once again thank everyone that comes here and reads my stuff. I love to see the page views and comments .. we are almost to 2200 comments on 443 posts! I've been thinking about everything to do with captioning lately, due to more people leaving (Caitlyn, Smitty, etc.) and having to write about Steffie for the upcoming Haven Quarterly V (yeah Rachel, its finally fucking done!) Perhaps I'll elaborate more in the coming posts (or have already beat most of it into the ground in past blog posts already!) but if it ever gets to the point where its an obligation and feels like a job .. I'm done.

I never want to be "O goddess, I need to update the blog," or "I don't want to have to make a caption for BLANK," or "Fucking A, I have to deal with BLANK on the Haven again!" I've seen that burnout in people, and I never want that to happen to me. I think I'm lucky enough to get the minimum daily dosage of participation from longtime friends, commenters, and drive by visitors to keep my batteries recharged and my mood weather vane pointing towards the positive.

Try a mimosa .. its really good!

Made this one the other day for Tranzmute, though I didn't proof and post it until today. It needed some editing, as I didn't like the order in which I had them saying things. As in, Terri would say a few things, then Steffie would reply to something all the way at the beginning of the quote, and have to say, "and speaking of BLAH, yadda yadda," which did NOT flow well at all. I am a bit happier with the version I am posting here and on the Haven.

This is an interesting tidbit about the caption .. I have no idea exactly which one is which. I am not quite sure if it matters or not, to be honest. Each reader can identify with the one they wish to be I think. The girl on the left is being more defiant and sneaky, but the one on the right has the somewhat more feminine outfit and an exaggerated smile. Your guess is as good as mine!

And of course, Sissy Leeanne is floating around somewhere there serving drinks .. You didn't think his WIFE as the hostess of this soiree would be serving, did you? I mean, look at the title .. Server. Its got "SERVE" right there as the 1st five letters!

So when does this constitute an epidemic of departures?!?

Candy (aka One Eyed Pirate on the Haven) is taking the foreseeable future off from captioning. You can read about it HERE though its not really that long. She'd been around for quite some time, starting with TG-Media I believe and then drifting over to the Haven before making her own blog. I think I might have posted everything I've made for her, especially since she likes her captions sizzling hot and steamy .. and most people here do seem to like those as well!

So, yet another captioner saying goodbye! Last one out, be sure to turn off the lights! I'll just be sitting here in the dark, cranking out some more captions!

<><><><>

UGG on the car front. Nothing within our price range and apparently the worse credit you have, the more expensive and newer a car they want to give you a loan for.  We can't afford to get a loan, insurance and all that, and we are very limited on what we can buy outright. Currently we are looking for something less than 1200 dollars. Doesn't look like that is going to happen, so we are pretty fucked .. no doubt about it. SO depressing to think you are at least keeping your head somewhat above water .. only to get sunk all at once.

Soup really IS good food!

I am still completely frazzled and been running around non-stop. Still don't have a vehicle for the GF, so I've been working partial days, using vacation days for the rest of the hours, to make sure that she and our roomie get to work. There is a chance we might have something on Monday, but until we have a definite vehicle for her to get to work in, I am going to continue to be around in dribs and drabs. Trust me, I am NOT enjoying this in the slightest!

Made that caption for one of my bestest friends, Courtney, back in September of 2009. It was right before I started my college web design class. I've been thinking about finishing my college degree, but with all the car issues, I don't think I can pull that off this semester. I keep saying that because I never have the money to do it. I think I might actually fill out a financial aid form next time around and see if I qualify for any grants or low interest loans. I only have a few classes left for a bachelors, though I'm assuming the core curriculum for my major has changed since I last attended full time. I mean, back then, the predominant language was Pascal. I would assume its now C++ or something else. Hell, one of my flex classes was in COBOL! (Well, you never know if you'll be programming an old banking computer to fix it for Y2K!) Well that was their thinking at least!

The story behind the caption is that Courtney is actually a pretty good cook, but at the time, she was mostly eating crap. Bren was riding her pretty hard about doing so, and even sent her a bunch of veggies from her own garden. Long story short, Courtney is now eating much more quality food as she had a bit of a health scare back about 2 years ago.

Not sure I'll have any new captions made until we have some wheels and the rest of a car for the GF, so I am going to have to hit the archives for some oldies but goodies.

Neuyu Motors .. My first trade caption ever made!

$
0
0

I thought sure that I had posted this here before!

This was my first ever trading caption, and my second ever created! I made it for Cassandra of Troy who was quite busy in making captions and commenting on others work, especially encouraging newbies .. something I try to do whenever possible. At the Haven, to receive a trading folder, you need to have an introduction posting telling others a bit about you and an initial caption made for someone else. This was my "audition" for a trading folder.

I am not sure, but the Neuyu Motors universe might have actually been created by Cassandra (looked back and apparently it was made by someone named Tryptophan, who I think ended up becoming Robin, a former admin of the Haven), so it seemed like a good idea to make one for her using it. Pretty much the plot device is you get a car that changes you temporarily, and you can become yourself again as long as there is no damage to the car, playing on how fine most companies like Hertz and Enterprise go over the cars when you return them. The trick is coming up with new and interesting ways of tapping the recipient of the caption.

Just found the actual rules. Here they are for anyone actually wanting to make one in this universe:
1.  When you rent the car you get the body of either a) the previous owner or b) the personality of a "typical" owner of the car.  So if you rent a so-called "chick car" or if the previous owner of the car was a women and you are a guy you are getting changed.  There is no limit that the change has to be M2F, it could be F2M or F2F or M2M.

2.  Any damage to the car (and often unknown to the body) results in you now "owning" the car and body and payments starting in 3 months (of course how much you have to pay and how you make payments have not been established yet).

3.  Only those associated with the transactions know your true identity during the change, to the rest of the world you have always been how you now appear when renting the car.
As usual, I tended to drive by the rules and just make the caption brief and yet still be coherent enough to be understandable, especially to those that already know the rules.

It can be fun to go back and look at your old work. This is what I posted at the time:
I saw this picture while I was reading about Nueyu Motors, and thought I'd give it a shot. This is the 2nd Caption I've ever done, and I'm noticing I'm not verbose when it comes to my captioning style. Be that as it may, I hope you like it.
After Cassandra said she liked it, "Thank you so much.  I really like simple quotes, they can convey so much and leave the fantasy part to your mind.  Nice car, great cap!" I posted this reply:
I'm really glad you liked it. I think I'm getting the hang of this, although I don't quite have a visual style yet. I am amazed at how supportive people can be here Smiley

I guess I sort of DID get the hang of it, huh? With many missteps along the way! Anyone that knows me fairly well can certainly see the foreboding in both my statements .. the first one about the lack of verbiage and the second alluding to a visual style, something that took me awhile to achieve.

<><><><>

As you might be able to assume from the topic of this post, we finally got my GF a car, and its really nice. One of her co-worker's mom had died, and he wasn't able to drive it, so he sold it to us. We now have no savings left, but at least I will not be "driven" insane anymore with the commute from hell that was also eating up all my vacation time! She ended up with a 2003 Chevy Impala. I am definitely not a Chcvy fan, the only one I ever had was a piece of shit (1997 Monte Carlo) that was in the mechanic's bay more than on the road BUT it was well maintained and hopefully she will have better luck with hers, which looks like this one posted below both in color and trim package .. of course this ISN'T her actual car or license plate!

I can't wait to drive it. We were in such a rush to purchase it and get it  registered, old car towed, etc .. in one day, I haven't even taken it out for a spin! We have a road trip on Sunday so I will be riding in style I think. Now to bake my mechanic some brownies or cookies so he'll work on a Chevy!

Calvin got a brand new ride apparently! WOOOO! We all need to ride to work in style!

That saying doesn't really work very well in this digital age, does it?

Made this caption today as I actually had a few minutes to myself again! WOOO! My Grandmother will be heading back down south this weekend, so it looks like most of my extra-curricular activities will be dying down soon enough. Somewhere along the line, my summer really got away from me with all the medical issues, car troubles, and various other distractions strewn about me. Cannot wait to start cranking out some captions!

The thought behind this caption was all the running around I was doing these last 2 weeks and trying to work an actual semblance of a shift where I would be visible to people that wished to see me in person. Much of my work can be done at my house (I have a more powerful computer there) but many people wish to do business the old fashioned way .. present on site .. so its a balancing act when I am far from the location of the job. Due to the amount of miles I was putting on, mixed with road construction, led to me being 5-10 minutes late for scheduled appointments. I know if it was me, I'd definitely have penalized me for doing so, and probably in the way I did in the caption if I had that power! I don't think you'd forget to show up on time if you looked like that and wished to be a male again. I just need someone to remind me WHY I would want to be a male again looking like that?

I had most of it written, and of course it was centered around the "on the dot" comment (which for those that don't get it, she's wearing a polka dot outfit) and I really couldn't think of a way to finish it. Nothing relating to time word-play would pop into my head ... so I went the "boobie trapped" route which I have used before .. don't remind me! I am not really fond of that whole last paragraph to be honest with myself, as to me, it seems a bit half-assed.

SO, anyone out there want to rewrite the ending for me? It can't be a huge paragraph, but a sentence or two should be able to fit in there! Post them below and I'll see what I can do!

Unruly Boys Make Better Good (Sissy) Girls!

Another one I thought I had posted but don't see here on this blog!

If you don't want to read about personal stuff, head to the first video, then read from there!

Going to write this in dribs and drabs as its been one fucking shit pile of a month here at the Mentia homestead. No sooner than we get Vlad (the Impala) on the road, our best friend's car blew up and burnt to a crisp om Friday night. Most of the weekend was spent helping them get food shopping and errands done for them (they live about an hour from us) so we were all over the place. They had a rebuilt engine put in 3 weeks ago and now KABOOM! Then we found out that the GF's mom is in the hospital vomiting blood so we are awaiting tests back on what is up with that. We'd been concerned about her mental health recently (possibly a stroke?) so this physical ailment has really been weighing down on us even more. She lives about 3-4 hours away so its not like we can just hop down the street to check up on her.

I'm also thought about taking a week or two off from the Haven, but I am not sure I can. It can be a hassle but its also been a source of many friends and support over the years. Lately I've just been doing a drive by where I'll pop on and look to make sure everything is still running properly .. then I will just disappear again. I popped on today and someone made me a caption! WOO!

So long story still somewhat long, I really haven't had much time to do anything related to generating TG content of any sort. I also haven't really had much time to do anything for myself, as I've mostly been in "keeping head above water" survival mode for my family and friends. I know a former co-worker that has opened up a massage spa and I've thought about taking a day off this week and seeing what she can grind out of my tense body. In fact I just texted her to see what is available. I am going to hit the gym if possible today as well, since I haven't done that in almost 2 weeks. I need to work off this stress somehow!

Apparently, Calvin/Caitlyn sees Damien like Henry Rollins. I don't mind that at all, as I'm a huge fan of his work in Black Flag and his spoken word tours. I've done some spoken word in my band's performances, and have a neck almost as large as his! Like him I can be a storyteller and I'm often very intense, which is my way of overcoming shyness .. I end up portraying an caricature of who I really am. So yeah, in real life I'm like a cross between Rollins and Foamy the Squirrel.

I have almost had that argument at a Burger King when I ordered a "small" soda and the woman behind the counter says, "We only have Medium, Large, and Extra Large," to which I replied, "Logistically, for you to have a medium, you MUST have something smaller AND something larger. So your medium is in truth .. a small," She then replied, "but its a medium!" Uggh!

Now, about the actual caption itself ... Made it for Terri back in July of 2011, and sometimes my ideas come in waves. I noticed in the directory that I made a number of vaguely "non-magical" magical type captions, where what happened was up to the viewer as to if the subject was changed into a female or not. This one definitely veers more toward a straight up feminization of a sissy than anything magical, and that was by design. I wanted to be less subtle than the previous ones I made.

My mind must have been in a weird mood to come up with the story to go with that picture. I am hoping that people still open up this blog post even though the protagonist is completely covered.

The REAL lyrics .. not the censored version.

I assume this was written by the people who gave us N*Sync?!? LOL

I can see how that title encompasses .. huh?

Yeah, I made a few captions today. Wasn't planning to, but when stretching at the gym, I tweaked something, so I went home instead of making it worse.

This one was made for Wendy, and I had tried making it last night, but it wasn't quite working out for me then, so I just wiped out what I had and started over. I wanted to do something sort of Hitchcockian but with a current TMZ vibe. We focus so much on celebrity and rich folk that become infamous that it was fun to tackle something like this.  You just have to suspend disbelief and imagine that something like this could happen, and let it wash over you like an episode of The Love Boat.

The ending is a bit of a non-sequitur I think. Somehow in my brain it ties in with the Lobster as some sort of reference to a Surf and Turf platter. I can't knock it too much, as I'm trying to get back into the swing of making captions. Sometimes you have to make omelets if you wanna break some eggs!

Was there any doubt that this WOULDN'T be the song I used to accompany the caption?

... or this one? Eat them up, yum!

Wanted to post once more before the weekend. I managed to get everything done at work and am now taking a (hopefully!) relaxing 4 day weekend before jumping back into a full slate of jobs at work. I have a massage planned for tomorrow as well, and will just say, "Massage whatever the hell you want and I'll be fine with it!" If they offered mani/pedi's I think I would take one of those too! I mean, I just totally want to be pampered! Something to take the edge off this last month.

Anyway, this is a blog exclusive. Didn't really feel right giving this to someone since I don't really mention their name so .... this is to all my dedicated readers. Just picture yourself as the pretty lady with the smug look on her face, knowing she is about to win an argument. This caption makes me feel like I'm starting to get in the groove again.  That. my friends, gives me a great peace of mind!

I should be back on Saturday night or perhaps Sunday? To all those in the USA, I hope you enjoy your Labor Day Weekend! I know I'm gonna try REAL hard to have a blast!

Is there such a thing as a generation gap?

Don't have much time to chat here. I wasn't able to post last night as we got back quite late. Had to travel 300 miles round trip on Saturday to help out the GF's mom as she had just gotten out of the hospital. We attempted to do a bit of a med eval on her .. the VNA was also there when we arrived looking to do an intake on her. We took her out to eat then for some food shopping. I don't think she's honestly had food in that house for a few weeks as there wasn't much in her fridge or freezer. We actually feel better about her health now that we saw her, though she looked really gaunt.

Anyway, I made this caption for Commentator about a week ago, but hadn't had time to polish it until a few minutes ago. I JUST posted it to her trading folder. I'll be interested to see where it gets more comments, here or at the Haven.

When I came up with the idea, I wasn't sure how many people other than Dawn WOULD want to receive a caption like this. Its straight up cross-dressing, along with being out in public, some humiliation, and exposure to family members. Not exactly fitting most people's preferences I would imagine, but I thought that if anyone would appreciate it, Dawn would be that person since she's fond of dialog that sounds realistic. I think the whole caption itself is quite grounded in reality, other than perhaps the model being much too young to have a 18-19 year old daughter. Then again, I have one of those and I'm still quite youthful .. just not quite THAT HOT in a LBD and hose!

Since I've JUST posted this, feel free to comment on it. Like I said up above, I'm curious to see which spot gives me more comments. I'd also like to hear people's thoughts on it because its a bit out of my usual comfort zone and I'm not sure if I've stretched this more than most people are willing to want to see in a TG caption. Let me know either way!

Who truly wins a bet like this?

Well, I was trying to put a twist on a caption style that has been around for quite some time, and probably done to perfection by Brittany Shagwell. It goes along with another thought that I've had for quite some time, that we seem to always strive to put guys into the most feminine outfits we can find .. still knowing that women nowadays probably where less dresses and hosiery than any generation that has lived before. Society demands less effort from them, so they certainly take advantage of the laxity, only wearing dresses when they feel like it, for comfort or for maximum sex appeal.

So, as for the idea, originally I had thought of a dare with the whole, "I bet you that I could make you look so much like a woman that your friends wouldn't recognize you!" and the reply from the other person was, "You're on! But you CAN'T dress me in any pink colors and no skirts or dresses! No high heels either, only a sensible shoe!" Then she completely wins the bet within his parameters.

These two pictures from a whole set are what originally inspired the idea many years ago, I just hadn't really thought about it in quite some time. I came across the picture I used for the caption, and it worked within Jenni Starshine's preferences with latex, and it jogged the long dormant storyline in my head. Of course, it always works better with a twist, and what better way to do that then by the way that cross dressers have been HOPING to get caught or "FORCED" into it. Luckily, this time it actually worked out for everyone! Perhaps Dee will get a further cut of the profits in future weeks?

.. but at least you won't break an ankle!

Made this one for Jinny (Jezebel) who was looking for quirky captions. Well, I like to think that most of my stuff is slightly off-center so when I saw this picture, I had a good idea it'd be for her. Its not your standard biking outfit to say the least.

One thing I've noticed is that many of my newer captions seem to be more consensual, or at the very least, accepting of ones feminized fate. Not quite sure where that is coming from, though making one caption often leads to another idea along the same vein. I mean, it could be that the pictures I'm viewing guides me to the plot, and lately I've been seeing nicer, more glamorous photos than usual?

I don't mind though, since I've always been one to let whatever comes out from my muse be my sherpa, and do all the heavy lifting. Just the act of creating makes me feel good and lifts my spirits.

And what else lifts my spirits? PRO FOOTBALL is back again for another season! Can't wait until the Ravens play the Broncos tonight. I'll probably be posting this around half-time!

Getting to be either Pink or Faith Hill is a no-brainer .. I'd be either!

DISCUSSION QUESTION: Which athletic sport or activity do you think would be the hardest to make a TG caption around? Why would it be so hard to do?

Sometimes you need to look at something a different way and it'll make more sense!

Going to be a quick little post, since its Saturday afternoon and I've got some things to do with the GF and my daughter, including finding her a bass guitar, since we'll be doing a musical endeavor together in the near future. My bass broke awhile back so finding another one (hopefully lighter so she won't get a bad back) is imperative. She usually plays acoustic guitar so this should be fun for her ... 2 less strings to deal with!

Made this quickie a few days ago. Had the picture for over a month or two but hadn't figured out what to make out of it as it would definitely be short in the word department. A bunch of people on my Facebook kept talking about CrossFit soooo what good captioneer wouldn't drop the word "dress" in the middle of that exercise movement? I kept it vague and kept it short, knowing I could use it as a weekend filler caption blog exclusive. Hope you enjoy!

Damn ... she is burning up with fever!

Another quickie posting tonight. Been quite busy and haven't had much time to do much, though I did get to watch some football yesterday. Patriots won! 49er's won though I was rooting for Green Bay .. i can't help it, I like Discount Double Checks! And if the 49er's lost, Rachel would be pissed off, especially since they pretty much stole Boldin from the Ravens. I think it was a "Sorry I beat you in the Super Bowl brother! Here's something to get you a ring too!" Definitely a conspiracy!

I am going to try to make some new captions tomorrow and possibly post here as well. I should have alone time after hitting the gym. If not, there should be something here on Wednesday.
